It’s Groundhog Day and blooming freezing outside! I’ve just checked Shubenacadie Sam’s Facebook page and she ventured out just long enough to predict six more weeks of winter. Not that I mind, that means six more weeks of keeping warm and entertained in my craft studio. When I was shopping recently I came across a little box of Lindor chocolates that gave me an idea for a Valentine’s Day project. So this morning, having found some coordinating paper in the Delicate Desert Designer Series Paper ... VIEW POST
Stepping Stones
At the end of last week I received my latest group order and in it was a new stamp set just for me. It’s called Stepping Stones and it’s been on my wish list since I first saw it in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. The set is very simple and contains just six stamps, all quotations. I especially love the size of them and they’ll be perfect for inspirational cards, memory albums and other special projects. To start I decided to use a Stepping Stones sentiment on this ... Brightest Glow
Ok I admit it. When I first saw the Brightest Glow Stamp Set I decided I didn’t need it. But every time I flicked through the Stampin’ Up! July to December Mini Catalogue I found myself pausing on page 30 and 31. I immediately bought and love the Lights Aglow paper, the ribbon and the festive pearls. But I finally gave in and got the Brightest Glow Stamp Set and coordinating Labels Aglow Dies. It’s designed as a “Christmas” stamp set but that wasn’t the theme of my first project. BRIGHTEST ... Give It A Whirl Re-imagined
With lots of us feeling the pinch financially it’s really important to make sure you get value for money. When it comes to craft supplies I know that will happen when I buy Stampin’ Up! products. I’ve given up trying to save a few bucks by buying elsewhere, just to get substandard tools and materials. However to get the most from what I do buy I try to look at things differently. That’s how I ended up with this cute baby gift tag using the Give It A Whirl Dies. CLOUDY SKY My project ... VIEW POST
Romance Was Top Of Mind
You know it’s funny the things that come to mind as I’m considering new projects to make for my blog. Take the other night... I was thinking about bookmarks and the kinds of books people read. I’m a fan of medical thrillers especially by Patricia Cornwell and Kathy Reichs, but I do like other genres too. And then it occurred to me, what about having a different bookmark tailored to each genre! So to kick off that idea I designed this pretty bookmark that’s perfect for all those romance ... VIEW POST
Pillowbox For Valentine’s & Weddings
If you're a regular follower of my blog you may remember a Christmas favour I created using the Pretty Pillow Box Dies. I was very late to the party with these dies and have been kicking myself for not getting them sooner. My Christmas pillowbox featured a simple poinsettia embellishment using just dies from the set. Today however I decided to create a treat / favour box for Valentine's day or a wedding. For the heart embellishments I needed to grab some dies from a second set, Give It A ... VIEW POST
