Well yesterday didn't go according to plan. First I had internet issues again in the morning that meant my blog was delayed. Then I got a call asking me if I could take an extra shift at the pharmacy. I know they wouldn't call unless they really needed me so I abandoned my to do list and worked a late shift. The knock on from that was I finally got to bed late last night, and then our cat Houdini decided I needed a lie-in this morning. I've been playing catch up ever since. Still, ... VIEW POST
Lots of Time But Lots To Do
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a lot of extra time on their hands so that we're unable to go out. I'm also probably not the only person who knows that I they could make great use of that time, if only they stopped procrastinating. The only way I've found to get jobs done is to write them on a To Do list, check it frequently and tick them off. Of course when you have a long list of jobs you need a large To Do list. So that's what I made this morning. LARGE NOTEPAD I found ... VIEW POST
Spring Wreath Decor (Papercraft Style)
A few weeks back I was playing with punches and created some 3D daffodils. Then I used one of them on card for St. David's Day. Today I have another daffodil / narcissus project but on a much bigger scale, a spring wreath. ROPE WREATH I found this rope circle in my local Dollarama. It measures 11" across and has what feels like a solid metal core. It certainly is very sturdy and I decided it would make an ideal base for my spring wreath. I began by cutting out the individual ... VIEW POST
Painted Poppies Sneak Peak
Hello everyone and welcome to 2020, and a new decade. I no longer make new year's resolutions but I do have a new bullet journal planner. For the past couple of years this is where I've kept track of my busy life, my goals, wishes and achievements. It's more flexible than resolutions and I can include my project ideas as they strike me. Today's sneak peek project using the Painted Poppies Stamp Set never made it to my 2019 journal. It sort of just 'happened'. HAND PAINTED POPPIES I ... VIEW POST
I Have A Happy Snowman
I have a happy snowmanHis name is Frosty FredHe decorates my gardenWhile I stay warm in bed Is anyone else starting to get silly, or is it just me? It's still only early December and I must admit I'm not looking forward to a long winter despite writing my happy snowman poem. Or maybe I am, as it means I'll have an excuse to stay in and craft. Once again today's winter project uses a combination of retiring and carryover products. SNOW PANEL I started by making the large snow ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing – Gift Of Fall
I must be honest and say that when I first saw the August Paper Pumpkin kit "Gift of Fall" I was a little hesitant. I really didn't need 12 tags and immediately started to think of what else I could make. Of course I did have the Gift of Fall Add On Bundle containing 24 cards and envelopes and that got me thinking. It wasn't long before I was in love with this kit and once again I'm glad I didn't skip a month. Here's my first project, a thankful banner (shown on the Paper Pumpkin Facebook ... VIEW POST
