I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, stamp sets that have only sentiments or only images are very freeing. When I pick up these sets there are no preconceived ideas about how I should use the stamps. Today I grabbed the Happy Labels Stamp Set which has 12 large sentiments. A Paper Pumpkin Thing: Key To My Heart
It’s the first Friday of the month and that means it’s time for another A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. This month we’re having fun creating alternate projects using the January 2023 kit called Key To My Heart. While the timing is perfect for Valentine’s Day, the kit is also great for other love events. For my alternate projects I started with a simple “I love you” card. Country Living
Oh boy my fingers are cold! I’ve just spent fifteen minutes on the balcony watching four deer enjoying our back lawn. Since emigrating from the UK to rural Nova Scotia I’ve really come to appreciate country living. I admit, having to drive 40 minutes to town for shopping is a drag, but it’s a small price to pay to be able to watch all manner of wild critters wandering across our property. Happy Labels
Yesterday’s freezing rain was more like ice pellets but at least the power stayed on. Now it’s back to rain again and our mild winter continues. It’s hard to believe it’s already mid-January! But it’s the beginning of another week and time to break out two bundles from the Stampin’ Up! January to April 2023 Mini Catalogue. Bits Of Favored Flowers
So far we’ve avoided the freezing rain but there’s a six hour period later today when that could still happen. The resulting build-up of ice can be quite pretty in the sunshine, but very dangerous to walk or drive on. So I’m taking Mother Nature’s suggestion that today should be another crafting day.
