When people think of owls, particularly at this time of year, many often think of Halloween. I suppose they can be quite spooky with their silent flight and subsequent sudden appearance. But for me when I think of owls I'm more likely to think of Hedwig from the Harry Potter series of books. My regular followers will know that I love reading, so I suppose it was only a matter of time before I made an owl-themed bookmark. OWLS IN FLIGHT This project happened by accident as I was ... Embrace The Brick Wall
You've probably guessed by now that I'm passionate about papercrafting. I suppose I have to be to design and create a new project every day for my blog. That doesn't mean that I don't experience a creative block every now and again, I do. However when I hit that brick wall I simply sit down and start playing and experimenting with tools and materials. I don't have a finished project in mind, or any kind of plan. WCMD Challenge Completed, Just
Oh my goodness am I tired! Yesterday at 5.55 pm, with just 5 minutes to spare I completed my World Card Making Day challenge. Since the beginning of the year I've been honoured to design and create alternate samples for these monthly events. Some months are easy, some less so, but I've always tried to rise to the challenge. I'm not hugely into Halloween so I decided to use the September Bone Appetit kit to create alternate treat projects with a Harry Potter theme. One ... VIEW POST
Alohomora And Other Unique Words
It's no secret that I'm a book-lover and am quite old-school in that I like printed books rather than e-versions. There's something quite special about settling into a cosy chair with a good book and a hot drink. A love of reading is something that I'm happy to say that other family members have developed too. My late son was a voracious reader, and when he died two years ago I kept a number of his books including his well-loved Harry Potter collection. He regularly told me that even if ... VIEW POST
