Having all 50 of Stampin’ Up!’s colours in inks and card is a big part of my crafting enjoyment. I’m often asked which colours someone should get and I generally respond with “my favourites may not be your favourites, so get what YOU like”. However what I do suggest is to start your colour journey by picking a few colours you like. Then as you’re making things you’ll find yourself wishing you had x colour, so then make a note to add that to your next order, and so on. LAYERS OF ... VIEW POST
Playing With More New Products
It’s day four of my sneak peek series featuring new products from the January to April 2023 Mini Catalogue. In earlier sneak peeks I’ve done quite a bit of colouring and fussy cutting and I know they’re not everyone’s favourite techniques. Today I resolved to avoid those. So what’s a crafter to do when they want add a cute rabbit to a card front? Well for this card I simply cut an image from the Rain Or Shine Designer Series Specialty Paper (DSP) using the Playing In The Rain Dies. RAIN OR ... VIEW POST
Celebrating With Chic
While Christmas Day is now over there’s still quite a bit of celebrating to do in the next week or so. Boxing Day is often an extension of the Christmas festivities. Then I have my daughter’s birthday, as well as New Year to look forward to. So with that in mind I wanted to bring you another ‘idea’ project that you might find useful. It’s a fun way to dress up a wine or other bottle you might gift to a host, using simple layering with some ribbon and embellishments. LAYERED OVER THE ... VIEW POST
Christmas Meal Planning
With only 3 days before the big day I’ve realised that I still have a lot to get done. I have the little notebook I created a couple of months ago and I’m constantly adding things I’ve forgotten. This book will definitely give me a head-start for Christmas 2023 as many of the tasks are the same every year. One thing I did realise though is that I wanted a separate list of my go-to seasonal recipes. So I created this project and will write the details on the back. CHRISTMAS PAPER This ... VIEW POST
Stepping Stones Simplicity
Yesterday seemed to be another one of those days with lots of things to do and not enough time to do it in. Despite starting early I have a number of carry-over items on my to-do list today. But first I wanted to bring you instructions for another card designed and made during my personal “24 cards in 24 hours” challenge. The layout for this one is very simple and uses a 6” x 6” piece of patterned paper plus a very large sentiment from the Stepping Stones Stamp Set. TEXTURE CHIC I began ... VIEW POST
Celebrate With Rays Of Light
Today my first task was to celebrate the launch of the Last Chance Promotion and Clearance Rack refresh with a small order. I was also planning to take advantage of a Demonstrator perk by placing an order for some new products from the January to April Mini Catalogue. But first I needed to finish my blog post. Unfortunately we had strong winds and torrential rain overnight which caused the power to go out. After 9 hours it’s finally restored, and so I’m celebrating the return of heat and light ...
