I don't know what it is about the Hey Chick Stamp Set that just makes me want to create. While the images are all cute, I keep going back to the chicken with the unruly tuft of feathers on his head. In fact that's pretty much the only part of the image used on today's project. And I found the perfect sentiment from the Here's A Card Stamp Set to go with it... "It's all messy. The hair, the house, the heart. Life" CARD LAYERS But before I set to work on the chicken I needed to decide ... VIEW POST
Well Suited With Surprising Blue Florals
Anyone who's followed my blog for a while knows that I like to show the versatility of Stampin' Up! products. Whether it's a new use for a die or punch, or a new take on a stamp image. Today I decided to highlight one of the more surprising patterns in the Well Suited 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. WELL SUITED FLORAL Many of the patterns in the Well Suited DSP pack are stripes or checks. But this blue floral is a refreshing change that I really wanted to use. I began ... VIEW POST
Christmas Layers All Year Long
It's December 22nd and I hate to say it, but if your Christmas projects aren't complete it might just be a little too late. Unless of course you've planned some time and use your crafting to de-stress once all the other preparations are done. Personally I'm looking forward to spending some quality time in my studio over the Christmas break. With everything else going on I've had to be in and out in super quick time. In fact after working a full day yesterday I didn't get in there at all, and ... VIEW POST
Z-fold Simplicity With Luxurious Gold
Last month I made my first Z-fold card in a very long time. It's such an easy way to add interest to a card I have no idea why I don't do it more often. So when I was working on my 24 cards in 24 hours challenge I decided to make my last card a z-fold one. Z-FOLD BASE I began this project by creating a basic A2 card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored on the long side at 4-1/4"). Then I flipped the card over and with the other long edge at the top scored it at 2-1/8". Then it was simply a ... VIEW POST
Flowers For A New Season
I have discovered the most gorgeous Designer Series Paper (DSP) and I can't stop playing with it. The Flowers For Every Season DSP is in the Stampin' Up! 2020/2021 Annual Catalogue so it's not exactly new, but I think I kept shipping past it because it's 6" x 6". Well since I got my hands on it I've been determined to deal with those demons. So today I bring you not one but two projects, using just one 6x6 sheet between them. FLOWERS FOR EVERY SEASON From the Flowers For every Season ... VIEW POST
Creating a simple masculine card
One of the best things about Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP) is that the two sides are printed with a different pattern. That means it's much more versatile than you might initially think. Take the 'Tis The Season 6" x 6" DSP pack. One side of each sheet has definite Christmas images while on the reverse are more generic patterns. I thought the green plaid pattern would make a great masculine card for today's simple Sunday project. MASCULINE PLAID I began by using my Paper ... VIEW POST
