Yesterday I finally got a chance to look through the updated Last Chance List. This is something that Stampin’ Up! produces at the beginning of the even months e.g. February, April, June etc. It’s a quick way for Demonstrators to see which items are being retired and only available while stocks last. Many of the products that were added this month didn’t surprise me, but seeing the Floral Charm 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) there did make me sad. So I’ve one last project using this ... Faux Quilted Frames
Today’s project is another one using the Phrases & Frames Stamp Set and coordinating dies. These items were originally released in the May to September Catalogue but are now part of the Online Exclusives range. The Phrases & Frames Dies were one of the first of the new ‘Impressions’ Dies, designed to give a deeply textured result. To get the best outcome you will need the new Impressions Plate. However the dies still work without it. Using the stamp set and dies together I created this ... VIEW POST
Blends Transformation
I’m having a very busy weekend attending a two-day craft fair at the Lowland Garden Centre in Great Village. I love getting customers’ on the spot feedback of the things I have available for sale. But while it enables me to get ideas for future projects, it doesn’t leave much time for my blog. However I wasn’t going to let that beat me. So in double-quick time I created this autumn-themed bookmark using Stampin’ Blends and the September 2026 Product of the Month; Luxe Foliage Specialty Designer ... VIEW POST
Salutations & Birthday Greetings
What a start to September we’ve had! It seems like Mother Nature said “That’s it, summer’s over, you’re done”. It’s very wet and windy, but unlike the summer storms it’s also dark and gloomy too. I don’t mind autumn, but when I know it’s only a buffer zone before winter comes around it takes the shine off a bit. Still, I’m looking forward to embracing all the colours of autumn. That’s what attracted me to the toadstool design I used on today’s simple Sunday project, paired with a marvelous ... VIEW POST
Beautiful Accident
Over that past few weeks I’ve been actively thinking about where I find the inspiration for my projects. However today was one of those days when inspiration came looking for me. I wanted to make something more gender-neutral and with Designer Series Paper (DSP) I hadn’t used in a while. Nothing inspired me and I was down to the Beautiful Gallery pack. So I pulled out three sheets each with a simple abstract effect trying to narrow it down. But they looked so good together I ended up using them ... VIEW POST
You’re Still The Best
If you’ve been following my blog for a while you’ll know I’m a frugal crafter. More recently I’ve been forced to be frugal with my time too. So when I finally get into my craft room I really want to make the best use of the opportunity. Most commonly this manifests as a card project followed by a coordinating gift tag. That’s because a lot of my design decisions have already been tested out, plus all the card, paper, stamps, ink and tools are already right there on my desk. I built this tag ... VIEW POST
