Prince & Princess Stamp Set Gets A Turn

July 15, 2021 Leave a Comment

One of the most overlooked parts of Stampin' Up! catalogues has to be the Host section at the back. Lots of people think that you have to host an in-home party to be able to benefit but that's not entirely true. Anyone can earn Stampin' Rewards (Host benefits) if their order meets the $200CAD threshold. Stampin' Rewards are great because you can spend the 'dollars' on anything. But for me the best part is it allows me to get exclusive products that are not available any other way. The ... VIEW POST

Leafy Heart Makes A Simple Layer

August 6, 2020 Leave a Comment

Once upon a time I never fussy cut anything. Then as time went on I'd cut shapes or simple images when I had no punch or die to do it for me. Now I find myself reaching for my Paper Snips more and more often. When I started today's project I fully intended to have my stamped heart on a simple square layer. However, as so often happens, when I began to put the project together another option popped into my head. TEXTURED BACKGROUND I began my project by creating the card base and ... VIEW POST

Summer Days, Lazy Days

June 18, 2020 Leave a Comment

My 9 year old granddaughter Alyssa is an avid reader, like her mum and grandma. So it stands to reason that I send her bookmarks that I've made. Recently she very sadly admitted that one of them had been damaged and I promised to make a her a new one. I had the perfect image in mind, a child reading under a tree. It would be my first project using the new Summer Days (Host) Stamp Set. SUMMER DAYS Isn't that a sweet image, and all using just one stamp. I began by cutting a 2" x ... VIEW POST

Believe All Host Stamp Sets Are Retiring

May 12, 2020 Leave a Comment

One of the things that is guaranteed with the end of any Stampin' Up! catalogue is the retirement of all the Host Stamp Sets. These sets can be found towards the back of each catalogue and are available at below retail value. The catch is that they can only be 'bought' using Stampin' Rewards. Stampin' Rewards are 'dollars' earned by hosting a party or placing an order of at least $200 CAD. Today's quick fridge magnet project uses the Believe You Can (host) Stamp Set. TEXTURED BASE I ... Simply Creating My Own Super Bowl

February 2, 2020 Leave a Comment

It's Super Bowl Sunday and we're planning a lazy day watching the game. So for my Simple Sunday project I thought I'd create my own super bowl using the Make A Splash Stamp Set. FIRST MAKE YOUR FISH BOWL I began my project with a layer of Whisper White Card and a Smoky Slate ink pad. First I stamped the bowl image towards the bottom, then I added the "Just keep swimming" sentiment towards the top. For the gravel at the bottom I could have used browns and greys but decided on ... New Wonders No Surprise

July 16, 2019 Leave a Comment

I've another quick blog post for you today with a first outing for the New Wonders (Host) Stamp Set. As soon as I saw this set I knew I had to earn it by placing an order for at least $200 before shipping and taxes. That meant that I qualified for Stampin' Rewards (10% of my order value) to spend on anything I wanted. Host stamp sets can only be purchased using Stampin' Rewards, but are priced at below retail value. So I used just $18.50 of my Stampin' Rewards to get this 11 piece cling set ... VIEW POST
