It’s the start of a new week and another chance to get my craft room organised. While waiting for my pre-order of products from the new 2022/2023 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue I’m making room by sorting through the retiring things, and deciding what to keep and what to sell. I started well enough but then got distracted by the Handsomely Suited Stamp Set and Suit & Tie Dies. These coordinating products are on the retiring list and I just couldn’t say goodbye without using them to make one ... VIEW POST
IDEAS Blog Hop: Honeybee Home
It’s the first Monday of the month and that means it’s time for another IDEAS blog hop. This month our theme is “cards that move” and fifteen of us have taken part. I decided to create my project using the Honeybee Home Stamp Set and coordinating Honeybee Blooms Dies. In the IDEAS Tutorial Bundle PDF my card has a double pop-up mechanism inside. Here on my blog there's a coordinating standard card. For both projects I opted to use Stampin’ Blends in Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil ... VIEW POST
Triangles For A Sketch Challenge
Today was another one of those days when I really had no idea what I was going to make. While I was waiting for the kettle to boil I checked my e-mails and found the inspiration I needed. The Paper Players have a sketch challenge this week and I immediately wanted to join in. However instead of using three rectangles as the dominant feature, I decided to switch things up using the retiring Stitched Triangles Dies. With some retiring Designer Series Paper (DSP) close at hand I set to ... VIEW POST
Simply Elegant Storage Idea
While I’m dealing with a nasty cold I’m avoiding anything that needs my complete attention. Instead I’m tackling those smaller jobs that aren’t affected by my fuzzy brain. So today I'm reorganising and preparing for the list of products being retired by Stampin’ Up! which will be revealed to Demonstrators on March 23rd. All the Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue is pretty much guaranteed to go, and this simple Sunday project highlights two of the packs we’re likely ... VIEW POST
Peekaboo Farm Animals at Christmas?
A few weeks ago I was challenged to create a project using layout sketch as my inspiration. This was based on the card in the bottom right-hand corner on page 88 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. The original card uses products from the very Christmassy Tidings of Christmas suite so I was determined to make a non-Christmas card. With that in mind I selected the Peekaboo Farm Stamp Set and set to work. It's only now, weeks later, that I'm struck by a certain irony. What could be more ... VIEW POST
Daisy Lane For Family Get-Togethers
In case you hadn't realised, three months today will be Christmas Day. But before we get to that we've got Thanksgiving right around the corner. In Canada, Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October and often marked by family get-togethers. Today I wanted to give you an idea for a pretty way to gather up the napkins and silverware (cutlery). So I decided to pull out my Daisy Lane Stamp Set which I haven't used in ages and set to work. QUICK NAPKIN WRAP My project actually began ... VIEW POST
