This morning I woke up and just wanted to create something quick and easy. So with the Inspiring Iris Stamp Set, one ink pad and some Stampin' Blends I created this pretty bookmark. INSPIRING IRIS FIRST It was the Inspiring Iris Stamp Set that inspired my project on a 2" x 5-1/2" strip of Thick Whisper White Card. I began by stamping the iris outline using Crumb Cake ink. Then I coloured in the flower heads using the Highland Heather Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I finished the ... VIEW POST
Subtle Sponging – An Idea To Try
Today has not been the easiest of mornings. I slept in (something I rarely do) which immediately put me behind with my plans. Then after I had virtually completed my subtle sponging project for today I noticed an inky black mark right in the middle! Usually I'll simply cover it up or use some other tactic to disguise the damage, but this time it wasn't going to be possible. I just had to start over again. Eventually my second project was photographed and the photographs edited and ... VIEW POST
Masculine Bookmark (By Customer Request)
Yesterday I spent most of the day at the Fundy Geological Museum in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. It was their annual Christmas Craft Fair and the 6th year I've attended. It was lovely once again to see so many people supporting a wide range of crafters and buying local. I love talking with those that stop by my table and getting their feedback on my creations. Four Ink Colours Revisited
Last Friday I created a card for the Hand Stamped Sentiments design challenge using four ink colours. The card was pretty simple but had an explosion of colour. Today for my Simple Sunday project I wanted to use those same four ink colours to create a card with a very different feel. FOUR INK COLOURS The four colours required for the challenge were Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron, Grapefruit Grove and Terracotta Tile. As in my previous card I decided to use all four of these ink colours ... VIEW POST
What In Carnation!
I was up early and had no distractions this morning, so why am I running SO late? Today's project is another #simplestamping card, this time with a sentiment and carnation image from the Inspiring Iris Stamp Set. SAVE TIME I decided to save time by using a pre-cut and scored Whisper White Notecard and Envelope for my base. All I did was fold the card along the scored line and sharpen the crease with a Bone Folder. Then using Basic Gray ink I stamped the "wishing you the best" ... VIEW POST
Life Inspiring My Crafting
Yesterday August started out way better than July had ended. First, I sat down and placed my pre-order from the Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday Catalogue. This is one of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I love being able to get things early. Then the mail arrived and with it my new modem. So I was able to swap out my old one and get my internet connection sorted out. Finally my lovely courier, Tim, arrived and brought a parcel of goodies. In it were some customer orders but ...
