Despite the chill in the air, yesterday turned out to be a very lovely day. We made the most of it by driving to Parrsboro for lunch. Then on our way back we visited the Lighthouse Park at Five Islands. What struck me most was that almost all the leaves have now fallen. Of course we still have the evergreen trees but it’s sad to see the autumn colours gone. So to mark this seasonal milestone I created this project full of warm tones using the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set. I began this simple ... VIEW POST
Hoarding Like Squirrels
I love stamp sets and admit I’m a bit of a hoarder. That’s probably not news to you, but I suspect many of you are hoarders too. However even with a stamp set I love I sometimes wish there were other/extra images. This was exactly what happened after I got the Nuts About Squirrels Stamp Set last year. The two squirrels are so cute but something was definitely missing, separate acorn images. So why was it only after I’d finished today’s project that I realised my wish had been granted? NUTS ... Hippos On Film
When I like a stamp set I always check to see if there’s a coordinating set of dies, especially if they’re offered in a discounted bundle. But when I saw the Blossoming Happiness Dies I knew I’d get them regardless. The draw for me was the two edge dies. One adds a line of small circles in the style of a spiral bound page. The other has a series of small slots like a comb bound page. Today’s project uses that second die to create a filmstrip featuring cute hippos. FILMSTRIP ACTION I ... VIEW POST
Treat Someone Today
Today is Father’s Day and it looks like the weather is going to cooperate. Like many people when it’s nice I like to get outside and enjoy it. That means less time indoors to craft, although I never stop entirely. This time of year also sees lots of celebrations with graduations, weddings, births etc. So for today’s simple Sunday post I designed a quick box project using the Scalloped Kraft Treat Box, a little paper and the Celebrating You Stamp Set. It’s food-safe too and perfect for a homemade ... VIEW POST
Pretty Prints Pretty Colours
As soon as I saw the Sun Prints 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) I was smitten. I’m quite a fan of blue, and loved the designs which reminded me of school experiments from years back. That pack immediately made it into my first order and I’ve used it quite a bit. So imagine my surprise when I discovered I could get the best designs (in my opinion) from Sun Prints in other colours! Once the Pretty Prints DSP pack arrived I couldn’t wait to make my first project. SAME PRINTS For ... VIEW POST
Man, It’s A No Stamp Sunday!
As an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and passionate paper crafter I craft every day. To be honest even if I wasn’t blogging every day too I’d probably still be creating something. My projects always involve card, and most days stamps and ink. But for today’s simple Sunday project all I needed was the He’s the Man Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). With the recent retirement of the Playful Alphabet Dies I thought my bookmark genre series was done, that was until I realised I had the ... VIEW POST
