It’s the weekend. Yesterday’s lovely spring weather is a distant memory as another storm is making its way across Nova Scotia. Still, while we’re due for copious amounts of rain we’re thankful it’s not snow. Spring is definitely on the way though and I’m eagerly watching for our brown lawn to show signs of new life. After the greening comes a swathe of dandelions, followed by the daisies I love. So that thought prompted me to grab a daisy punch as I prepared to decorate a little gift ... VIEW POST
Snowy Beauty As We Clean Up
As predicted, the winter storm that started on Friday evening continued for most of yesterday. The power went out Friday night and wasn't restored until 8.45pm on Saturday. So there was nothing for it but to hunker down inside and ride it out. During the daylight hours I managed to do a little crafting and re-organising while hubby worked on getting power from our new generator into the house. Today there's not a cloud in the sky and the sun is showing off the ridges carved into the snow by ... VIEW POST

Label Me A Winter Scene Gift Tag
Last week I created a birthday gift tag with a dancing chicken. I loved how bright and cheerful it was, but it did involve quite a bit of work. So for this week's simple Sunday project I wanted to pare it right back. Today's project is a "Just for you" tag with a winter theme, using a couple of label punches to create the tag base. LABEL TAG Instead of making a rectangular tag using one of Stampin' Tag Topper Punches I thought I'd see what other punches I could use. It was then I ... VIEW POST
Daisy Lane For Family Get-Togethers
In case you hadn't realised, three months today will be Christmas Day. But before we get to that we've got Thanksgiving right around the corner. In Canada, Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October and often marked by family get-togethers. Today I wanted to give you an idea for a pretty way to gather up the napkins and silverware (cutlery). So I decided to pull out my Daisy Lane Stamp Set which I haven't used in ages and set to work. QUICK NAPKIN WRAP My project actually began ... VIEW POST
Hydrangea Hill Makes A Quick And Easy Card
I'm going to be honest and say that when I first saw the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper (DSP) it didn't make it to my order wish list. I was definitely attracted by the colour palette that includes Seaside Spray and Highland Heather. I also liked the 'background' patterns too. But what put me off was the large flower images. So how odd then that having bought the paper, it's the large hydrangea patterns that I've used the most. Rather than being difficult to work with I've actually ... VIEW POST
