For the past seven years I've been a volunteer writer for the Stampin' Up! Canadian Demonstrator e-magazine called Inspiration Canada. This monthly magazine is sent to every Canadian Demonstrator and contains a mixture of inspiration and information. This month we celebrate our 100th edition and I worked out I've contributed over 80 articles since I joined the team. Recently I've been focusing on #simplestamping with ideas that encourage new stampers and cardmakers to have a go. Using just ... VIEW POST
Create A Sweet And Simple Treat Package
Today's project is so simple I'm surprised I haven't tried it before. While I was out shopping yesterday I treated myself to some York Peppermint Patties. I admit I may be slightly addicted to these sweet treats, so before they all disappear I decided to make a quick treat package to hold two of them. SIMPLE WRAP I began by stacking two of the patties so I could get an idea of the size of paper I'd need to wrap them. After a little trial and error I cut a 2-1/2" x 5-1/2" strip of ... VIEW POST
A New Year Means A New Calendar
Happy new year! How's it been for you so far? Us? Well we woke up to minus 4C and a heating system that wasn't working. Fortunately it was only the AA batteries that needed replacing in the programmer and we were able to get it up and running again. It did remind us however to buy a replacement for the other more specialised battery in case that one goes in the future. So before I forgot I wrote myself a note using my new 2021 easel calendar. This is the third or fourth year I've made ... VIEW POST
Many Mates For A Simple Thanks

So today's simple Sunday project is a really simple card layout including a few retiring products. SIMPLE LAYERS My project began with a simple card base. First, using my Paper Trimmer I cut and scored some retiring thick Whisper White Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease ... VIEW POST
Blending Something Old With Something New
With Christmas just ten days away hopefully most people are nearly done with their seasonal crafting and looking ahead. So today I decided to create a Valentine or wedding gift tag. My original plan was to continue to showcase products that are retiring and now only available while stocks last. But somewhere along the way a couple of new products crept into my hands. So today you get to see a new ribbon and a new ink blending tool that will be available from January 5th. FANCY TAG ... VIEW POST
Creating A Gift Tag With Texture
Yesterday afternoon I was in a gift tag kind of mood. I often sit and make a batch of gift tags as a way to develop ideas. I might have a stamp set that lends itself to tag sentiments, or small scraps of card or paper to use up. Or sometimes it's a punch, die or embossing folder that inspires me. This tag was a combination of all three, and I love how it turned out. A LITTLE SOMETHING This tag started with my favourite stamp set, Wrapped In Christmas. The "a little something for ... VIEW POST
