Something I love having in my craft studio are flower dies to make decorations. Different sets of dies and punches come and go, but there’s always something new. As soon as I saw the Dainty Delight Dies I knew I had to get them. While I loved the coordinating stamp set, what stood out for me were the daisy and small leaf dies. These don’t match any stamps however they can be used to decorate, well, anything. So as I’m bringing out my spring décor making this candle collar was a ... VIEW POST
Brushstroke Paper
There’s something about pleats that I find really elegant. Not that I like ironing them though! When I was very much younger, long ‘sun-ray’ pleated skirts were all the rage. I had a lovely one, although I can’t remember now what colour it was. The narrow pleats made the skirt swing beautifully when I walked. But, eventually it needed to be washed and that’s when the trouble started. Each individual pleat had to be ironed in place and I was rubbish at that. Pleating paper however is definitely ... Simply Detailed
Do you like big background stamps? I must say that I used to struggle to find ways to use them in my projects. More recently though that process has become easier. I’m not sure whether it’s just me evolving as a papercrafter or the stamp designs I’ve chosen. Either way using background stamps as the main image on a card can be great fun. So today I wanted to give you another card project using the Perfectly Detailed background stamp. It could be coloured, but it doesn’t have to ... VIEW POST
First Idea For Lights Aglow
I’m sure I’m not alone in finding that when I buy a pack of patterned paper there’s designs I can’t see myself using. It’s not that they’re awful, but rather just not my style, or don’t inspire me. Well I have to say I’ve finally found a pack where I love every single one of the patterns. So much so that I’m already thinking I need to order more. It’s called Lights Aglow Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the 24 different patterns are all stunning, even when chopped up! LIGHTS AGLOW ... VIEW POST
Sentimental Parting
Even though we’re only just into the second week of the Last Chance promotion with Stampin’ Up! some things have already sold out. As an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I’m able to see the changing stock levels, and many more retiring products are showing as “low inventory”. One of the stamp sets that’s almost gone is Sentimental Swirls. I especially like this set for the decorative swirls which gives the stamp set its name. So today I couldn’t resist making one final project using heat ... VIEW POST
Give It A Whirl Re-imagined
With lots of us feeling the pinch financially it’s really important to make sure you get value for money. When it comes to craft supplies I know that will happen when I buy Stampin’ Up! products. I’ve given up trying to save a few bucks by buying elsewhere, just to get substandard tools and materials. However to get the most from what I do buy I try to look at things differently. That’s how I ended up with this cute baby gift tag using the Give It A Whirl Dies. CLOUDY SKY My project ... VIEW POST
