So much to do so little time... Today sees the release of the 2019 Holiday Catalogue Retiring List and it comes with a twist. There's products that are retiring and are now discounted. There are also other items that are retiring that are at full price. This is usually because stocks are low and it's expected they will sell out anyway. We've become used to this. The twist comes with the items that are on the 'carryover list'. Some of the items will be carried over and we'll simply ... VIEW POST
Taking Time To Tie A Tassel
As I sit down to write this blog post the wind is howling and we're preparing for what could be three days of bad weather. Thankfully we still have power at the moment although were preparing for it to go out at some point. We're still not out of the woods yet so this tassel tag project will be a quick one. FIRST THE TAG I began but cutting a piece of Thick Whisper White Card 2" x 4-1/4". Then I shaped one end using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. On top of that I attached some Real ... VIEW POST
My DSP Warning Was Well Timed
Just two days ago I mentioned in my blog that the retiring list was coming out next week and it was time to stock up on Designer Series Paper (DSP). But even I was shocked when I saw late yesterday evening that the Feels Like Frost and Brightly Gleaming DSP packs are no longer available. Sales of these DSP packs have been phenomenal and there simply isn't enough time to get more before the end of the catalogue period. It's sad but it happens, just like I predicted. Thankfully I made ... VIEW POST
Getting Started With A Decoration
Last night I went to bed late with no idea what I was going to make for today's blog project. By the time I awoke this morning an idea for a pretty rosette decoration had magically popped into my head. A DECORATION FROM SCRAPS I began with a scrap of the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) that was 1-1/2" x 11-3/4". Using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool I carefully scored the DSP at 1/2" and then every 1/2" after that to the end. Then I flipped the paper over and scored it ... VIEW POST
Caught In A Card Dilemma
As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator you'd think I'd have every colour of ink pad and card, and you wouldn't be far wrong. Having been a Demonstrator for almost 6 years I've had time to build up my stash, but even I get caught out from time to time. Today's project is proof of that. At the beginning of October I set myself a personal challenge for World Card Making Day. I would design and make from scratch 24 different cards in 24 hours. It was a challenge I achieved with just minutes to ... VIEW POST
Punch, Then Punch Again To Be Sure
For today's Simple Sunday project I thought it would be fun to decorate another pocket photo album. These have been really popular at the craft fairs I've attended over the past couple of weeks. Many people commented what great gifts photo albums can make. They are meaningful and not difficult to put together, and not too expensive to mail either. Today's project is a case in point, pretty paper a stamp set and punch and you're good to go. SMILES & LOVE I began with a pocket ... VIEW POST
