It’s going to be another one of those hot and humid days. With a heat warning in place I’ve just closed up all the windows and drawn the curtains. That should keep the house relatively cool as the temperature begins to climb. Later, once it starts to cool again and the onshore breeze picks up, I’ll open up the house again. In the meantime I shall be mostly crafting. Today’s project was inspired by the pretty butterflies I saw while mowing a path through our flower meadow at the ... VIEW POST
Rediscovering The Sunflowers
Autumn is definitely getting a foothold here in Nova Scotia. As I drove into town yesterday I noticed quite a few trees have started to replace green with bright reds and yellows. While we don't have any fields of sunflowers, somehow when I think of autumn I always think of them. So today I decided that I'd pull out the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and coordinating Sunflowers Dies for this pretty gift tag. Technique Practice With Garden Birdhouses

Today's project is a sweet card that will have you singing to yourself while you make it. At least that's what happened to me as I put the partridge in my pear wreath. FIRST THE WREATH I began by creating the wreath background from the Arrange A Wreath Stamp Set. The wreath is quite large and personally I find ... VIEW POST
A Decorated Notepad For Every Situation
It's no secret that I'm a list person and consequently love pretty notebooks and notepads. In fact I have quite a few, each one designed to address a specific need. The other day I realised that the one I use for simple shopping lists was almost gone. So in true papercrafter style I found a plain notepad and turned it into something much nicer. FIRST CAME THE NOTEPAD This project all started with the notepad I found on a recent trip to Dollarama. The pages are 3-1/4" by 5-3/4" ... VIEW POST
