It’s the weekend and it looks like it’s going to be a lovely day. That’s a good thing as my granddaughter and I have plans to visit a Powwow. I’ve never been to one before and am not sure what to expect. However I’m sure I’ll be taking lots of photos. So to store our memories I decorated this large notebook with a very tactile wood-effect background using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. All it took was card and ink, along with a second run through my Cut & Emboss Machine. My project ... VIEW POST
Trucking Along
Did you know that Stampin’ Up! has an ‘Online Exclusives” range? These are products not found in the current catalogue(s) and well worth a look. As soon as I saw the Trucking Along Stamp Set and coordinating punch I fell in love with them. It appears I wasn’t alone as the punch very quickly sold out, and within days of restocking they sold out again! More are on the way, but in the meantime here’s a simple card I designed using just the stamp set and without a truck in sight. TRUCKING AND ... VIEW POST
Columns Of Daisies
I’ve just returned from a trip to Maine with my Granddaughter from the UK who’s spending three weeks with us in Canada. Sadly the weather there wasn’t brilliant, with one day completely washed out by torrential rain. Still, that gave us a great excuse to go shopping together instead. Our first stop was a huge bookstore in South Portland called Books-A-Million. We both had such fun and came out laden with new books. Now we’re back home I couldn’t resist creating this simple bookmark using the ... VIEW POST
Playing with Animals Again
After yesterday’s #simplestamping project featuring the llama from the Zany Zoo Stamp Set I was inspired to make a project featuring another animal. This time I reached for the Playing In The Rain Stamp Set and the coordinating dies. I decided to create my own ‘scene’ including texture from the Crosshatch embossing folder (part of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders pack). Then there’s some simple layers using torn and inked card. By the time I was done I had this sweet thank you card with a ... VIEW POST
Fresh Zany Llama
I loved the Fresh As A Daisy 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack as soon as I saw it and have been determined to make the most of every tiny scrap. One of the sheets in the pack contains ten smaller panels that are designed to be cut apart. Included in the panels is a scene that could be a wheat field, desert or beach. I’ve managed to make three separate projects from this one 5-1/4” x 4” piece. Today’s final project also uses the Zany Zoo Stamp Set. FRESH SCENE This zany llama ... VIEW POST
Another Bird’s Eye View
I’ve just returned from spending time with my daughter and her family in the UK. The twins are now almost 2-1/2 years old and so different from when they visited us in Canada last October. Lots of new memories were made and I’m excited that my eldest granddaughter flew back with me. She’ll be here for 3 weeks and we have lots planned. Like me she loves to read so I made this Harry Potter themed bookmark for her using the Bird’s Eye View Stamp Set and Very Best Trio Punch. EARTHEN ... VIEW POST
