I am having altogether too much fun with the On To Adventure Stamp Set. My daughter bought it for me for Mother's Day as the four characters reminded her of our family. I've already created projects with 'Alyssa' (my granddaughter, and 'hubby', and now it's my turn to step into the spotlight. So for today's simple Sunday project I decided to follow my bliss. A SIMPLE ONE LAYER DESIGN I began with a 2" x 5-1/2" strip of Thick Whisper White Card and shaped the top using the Scalloped ... VIEW POST
This Photographer Made Me Smile
Here's an admission... I might just be addicted to pocket photo albums. Or decorating them at least. I will get around to adding photos, but for now this is too much fun. The photographer image in the new On To Adventure Stamp Set didn't help either. So I gave in and made this album... SCENIC SUNSET I began with the sunset, which seems a little backwards but there you are... First I found a petal pink design in the Perennial Essence 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. I ... We’ll Walrus Be Friends
Big news! Yesterday I delivered my first consignment of projects to the Wallace and Area Museum in Wallace, Nova Scotia. This is the third retail location in Nova Scotia where you can pop in and buy my finished items. The other two are Glooscap Bazaar in Economy, and Five Islands Bazaar, Five Islands. Wallace is a beautiful place to visit and occasionally I've even seen seals in the bay. So when I saw the We'll Walrus Be Friends Stamp Set it immediately reminded me of the village. My new ... Another Elegant Dancer
A couple of weeks ago I created a card featuring a dancer from the Born To Shine Stamp Set. I said at the time that she looked like she was doing a latin-style dance. Today's project uses the other dancer image from the same stamp set but this time she's either a ballet dancer or perhaps a Scottish dancer. I'll let you decide. THE DANCER DECIDED The general shape of this dancer image was perfect for a bookmark, so that's the first project I ended up making with it. I began with a ... VIEW POST
Out Of The Box Coordination
It's no secret that I love my Paper Pumpkin subscription. Every month I get a box full of prepared pieces and instructions to enable me to make gorgeous projects. If I loved my Paper Pumpkin before, I'm besotted now. Just recently Stampin' Up! have raised the bar again by coordinating the kit projects with products from the catalogue. In May, we were sent the Hugs from Shelli Kit which coordinated with the Bird Ballad Suite and as usual I'm still playing with pieces from the kit weeks later. ... VIEW POST
An Inspiring Bookmark
As well as being a passionate papercrafter I'm also an avid reader. Although I do use an e-reader when I'm on holiday, I much prefer books printed on paper. Of course my regular blog readers will know that along with my book I always have a bookmark to hand. So when Stampin' Up! launches a new catalogue one of the first things I seek out are images or sentiments that I can make into a new bookmark. Today's project uses the Believe You Can (host) Stamp Set. This can be found towards the ... VIEW POST
