I've been having a lot of fun experimenting with projects created using a single Stampin' Up! colour (plus a neutral). Yesterday I focused on Blueberry Bushel, before that it was Blackberry Bliss, and before that it was Shaded Spruce. For today's simple Sunday project though I thought it would be fun to go even simpler and create a thank you card using only black and white. I mounted the Bee Thankful Stamp from Stampin' Up! onto my Stamparatus stamp positioning platform and inked it ... VIEW POST
Faux canvas
Some years ago Stampin' Up! sold a product that had an art canvas type of texture. It's no longer available but I've discovered a quick and easy way to get that canvas effect, all courtesy of my new favourite Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder called Subtle. This project actually started with the Lilypad Lake Stamp Set and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the sailboat image onto a scrap of Whisper White Card and then coloured the pair of boats using Coastal Cabana and ... VIEW POST
Sweet baby card
I'm a sucker for a cute baby stamp set and as soon as I saw the Sweet Baby Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! I knew I'd have to get it. Today is my first time inking it up and my project features two amazing new embossing folders too. Even if you don't have a use for baby-themed projects right now, do check out these new embossing folders, I think you'll be seeing a lot of them in the weeks and months to come. My project all started with the baby image from the Sweet Baby Stamp Set. I ... VIEW POST
Window treatments
Last month in my blog post Stained glass, I showed you a bookmark created using some of the amazing Graceful Glass 6" x 6" Designer Vellum. On that occasion I coloured the image using Stampin' Write Markers but I thought it would be useful to do a little comparison. So for today's project I have two Graceful Glass Designer Vellum gift cards for you. Both gift cards started out with a 3" x 6" piece of Whisper White Card scored at 3", folded along the scored line with the crease ... VIEW POST
Stained glass
There's something very magical about stained glass don't you think? From elaborate church windows to simple sun catchers, I love the contrast between the bold outlines and the coloured sections. I suppose it was inevitable then that I'd be drawn to the Painted Glass Stamp Set that I showed you in my previous blog posts Fancy fonts and Bright and early. What I didn't show you though was some of the paper that has been designed to accompany the stamp set and other elements of the Graceful ... VIEW POST
Spoilt for choice
Yesterday was another exciting day as I took delivery of some more new products from the Stampin' Up! 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue. It wasn't a huge order but it did contain some special mixed packs containing card in the new and returning colours, and a pack containing all the new and returning colours of Stampin' Write Markers. Now, even though I don't yet have all the new colour ink pads, I have the option to use the markers directly on the surface of the stamp, or to scribble onto an acrylic ... VIEW POST
