Before I sit down to write my blog post I always check the news, and especially the news from Stampin' Up! Sometimes, like today, it influences the project I show you. So I can't tell you how excited I was when I saw that the Cake Builder Punch is back in stock and available to order again. That also means that you can now also order the Piece of Cake Stamp Set bundle that includes this punch. Woo hoo! BLUE FOR A BOY For today's project I'd already decided that I'd make a more ... Miss You
For the past few days I've been working on getting my accounts sorted out. I'm a bit of a procrastinator and would much rather spend my time papercrafting, and I've finally had to set some boundaries. Yesterday I was in full-on accounts mode, but finally got everything together and delivered to my accountant. Yay! Sadly though that left little time to put together today's project. So I've a quick #simplestamping miss you card letting my craft studio know how I've been feeling. MISS YOU ... VIEW POST
You’re A Classic
My son-in-law is a vehicle mechanic and my father was an engineer, so it's no wonder I was drawn to the Classic Garage Suite in the Stampin' Up! 2019 Occasions Catalogue. I've already made some masculine cards and gift tags using products from the suite, but today I decided do something a little different. I thought it would be fun to decorate a picture frame ready for a photo I'm having printed. YOU'RE A CLASSIC I began with some Thick Very Vanilla Card and a Tranquil Tide ink ... VIEW POST
No Pout From This Trout
Have you ever had an idea that turned out even better than you imagined? It doesn't happen to me very often but when it does I simply can't wait to share it with you. What's even more amazing is that it's a masculine project which is notoriously challenging. So without any further delay, I bring you my sparkling trout gift tag. CATCH OF THE DAY I began the project with the tag base. First I used my Big Shot and Magnetic Platform to cut a piece of Sahara Sand Card using the #4 ... VIEW POST
The Icing On The Cupcake
My regular blog readers will know that I love it when there's dies or punches that coordinate with stamp images. I'm sure I'm not the only one. But if push comes to shove I'm not afraid of a little fussy cutting. That's exactly what I needed to do on today's cupcake tag project, but not for much longer... ONE FOR THE BOYS Today I decided to use the free Hello Cupcake Stamp Set from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure to make a tag that would be suitable for the boys. The Hello Cupcake Stamp Set ... VIEW POST
Fly Fisherman Timing
Have you ever been fishing? I must admit it's a hobby that's never appealed to me, but I do appreciate the skills needed to succeed. Patience and preparation, being quiet and still then a sudden burst of activity. Even getting the hook into the water is an art form, especially if you're a fly fisherman. Today's project features the Best Catch Stamp Set and coordinating Catch of the Day Thinlits. I also have some important news from Stampin' Up!, but like that fisherman, you'll just have to ...
