Yesterday I showed you a sneak peek from the Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalogue, the Santa's Workshop Suite. Today I have another sneak peek for you but this is a product you'll want to use all year round. It's a new background stamp called Buffalo Check. I knew as soon as I saw this stamp that I would be on my Demonstrator pre-order. I mean, this bold check is so versatile. I can see it as a pretty gingham and as a background for Christmas cards. Today though I went with a masculine ... VIEW POST
Use your scraps and stay in control
Many times in my blog I've tried to help you use your scraps with my project design inspirations. I've had a few people tell me that finding the right scraps is an issue for them too. Being organised with how you store and use your scraps is essential if you're to succeed with this. That's even more important for me as I keep the tiniest pieces. After a few years of trying various solutions I think I've got this down to a fine art. I have one biscuit tin that contains all my card scraps ... VIEW POST
A cute lion among tropical foliage
Do you love getting the maximum use out of your craft supplies as much as I do? When choosing a stamp set or dies I like to think of all the different ways they can be used. That came in really handy when playing with a cute lion image for this week's What Will You Stamp? challenge. As a member of the What Will You Stamp? challenge Design Team I was working on WWYS182 - A Little Wild. In addition to four sweet sentiments, this set contains line art images of a bear and elephant plus the ... VIEW POST
Cowboy Boots and Country Livin’
This morning when I sat down to create today's project my mind was a complete blank. As I waited for some kind of inspiration I decided I'd make a birthday card. Still nothing came to me, so I started looking through some papercraft challenge e-mails that had come through over the past couple of days, and I settled on one from Just Add Ink. The sketch kickstarted my creative process, and as I pulled out the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set I spotted Country Livin'. It was settled, my ... VIEW POST
Masculine Hedgehugs
Well today's project isn't at all what I thought I'd be showing you. I had plans for floral panels using images from the Hedgehugs Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! I'd even decided on the pretty ribbon I'd use, but somehow instead I ended up with a really minimalist masculine card. Not that it's a bad thing, many people including me, find masculine cards challenging to make, so to end up with one by accident is a real bonus. To make this this card I started with a piece of Thick Very ... VIEW POST
Nature’s wonders
One of the things I really noticed when I returned home from my vacation was how much our property had changed in the space of 3 weeks. The trees that were virtually bare are now completely covered in leaves and there's so much more wildlife around. I never tire of seeing how the landscape changes with each season, although right now a little more warmth wouldn't hurt, it is mid-June after all. When I first saw the new Rooted in Nature Stamp Set I must admit that it didn't excite me and I ... VIEW POST
