It's the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for another IDEAS blog hop. Like other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators around the world we're looking forward to a new catalogue, and the best promotion on the Stampin' Up! calendar; Sale-A-Bration. When you can get exclusive free products just for placing a qualifying order, what's not to love? So the IDEAS team decided that this month we'd showcase Sale-A-Bration products. For my projects I couldn't resist pairing the free Driving By ... VIEW POST
Three Stamp Sets For One Birthday Card
I must apologise for the late arrival of today's blog post. Today is obviously going to be one of those days where things take that much longer to get done. What's frustrating is that my birthday card project was done and photographed yesterday. But I've not been nearly as efficient this morning. In my defence I've had long video chat with my daughter and twin 9-month old grandbabies, and taken the garbage to the end of the drive in the snow. One very enjoyable distraction and the other, ... Pampered Pets For A Customer Order
I love doing craft fairs, especially at this time of year. It's so good to reconnect with old friends and customers, and meet new ones. At one of the craft fairs I attended recently I was asked for pet sympathy cards. This lady actually wanted six different ones and I agreed to make them specially for her. So among all the Christmas and other projects, this has been on my to do list. Here's one of the cards, featuring a cat image and sentiment from the Pampered Pets Stamp Set. PAMPERED ... VIEW POST
Technique Practice With Garden Birdhouses
The past couple of days I've been working late at the pharmacy, and I'm not good with late nights. I'm an early bird and definitely in the 'early to bed early to rise' camp. So when my routine is disrupted and I finally have time for a crafting session I often start simple. Today I just wanted to practice a few techniques for adding colour to my stamped creations. So I decided to create a bookmark, it's not too overwhelming but gives me an opportunity to create something pretty. This ... VIEW POST
Welcome Back To Another Simple Sunday
I love Sundays, especially when I don't have to work. For a number of years now I've had a "simple Sunday" theme for my blog. Simple projects that don't take a lot of time or need complicated techniques to achieve. Sometimes it will be a card, sometimes a gift tag, sometimes other papercraft projects. Today I have a simple bookmark project using the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set. I thought the "welcome back" sentiment would perfect as I settle into a comfy chair to continue my latest ... VIEW POST
Tropical Weather On The Horizon
Despite arriving back from the UK late on Saturday night, it wasn't until yesterday at I felt like I was home. Mind you I'm under mandatory quarantine for 14 days and so restricted to just three rooms. It's not all bad though because in addition to my bedroom and bathroom, I have one other room where I can spend my day, my craft studio. With the weather very hot and muggy yesterday I was drawn to the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set. I haven't used this set in ages, and it appears I haven't used ... VIEW POST
