Now that Stampin’ Up! has refreshed its colours I thought it was a good time to let you in on my wish list strategy. Ultimately I want all the new ink colours and would love to order everything at once. However I need to spread my purchases over several months, but where to start? What I do is just create as normal, then as I’m working I make a note of any colours I wished I’d had. These are the ones I’ll prioritise on my next order. For instance, today’s birthday tag project told me I needed a ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing – Hope Box
Today I'm taking part in the monthly A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. This month it's all about the August kit called Hope Box. JUST HOPE For my first project I wanted to create something that was pretty clean and simple. The result was this "Hope" card. I began with the pink splattered card base and 12" of the gorgeous Blackberry Bliss 1" ribbon from the kit. I wrapped the ribbon around the card front and secured the ends on the front in the centre using Tear & Tape ... VIEW POST
Heath & Happiness With Happy Holly-Days
So after yesterday's gorgeous new Designer Series Paper, today I have a sneak peek of a new stamp set for you. After seeing the large bird image, Happy Holly-Days had to be on my wish list and I couldn't wait to ink it up. I actually have a lot of ideas for this set but today I wanted to keep things fairly simple. SWEET ROBIN I began my project with a 3-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla Card. I'd decided on neutral tones so chose Soft Suede ink for all my stamping. Taking the ... VIEW POST
Welcome Back To Another Simple Sunday
I love Sundays, especially when I don't have to work. For a number of years now I've had a "simple Sunday" theme for my blog. Simple projects that don't take a lot of time or need complicated techniques to achieve. Sometimes it will be a card, sometimes a gift tag, sometimes other papercraft projects. Today I have a simple bookmark project using the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set. I thought the "welcome back" sentiment would perfect as I settle into a comfy chair to continue my latest ... VIEW POST
I’m Visiting Peekaboo Farm Again
It's the start of another busy month and today I'm playing peekaboo with the new Kits Collection from Stampin' Up! The eagle-eyed among you will have noticed that there's no kits in the new Annual Catalogue, and there's a good reason for that. Stampin' Up! wanted to have more flexibility to expand their range of kits, and add to them throughout the year. So to allow customers to see exactly what's available the new Kits Collection will be online only. We're starting with ten kits, and more ... VIEW POST
Strawberry Punch Is Back In Stock
Today's project is a very simple thank you card using the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set. I'll admit, I've never been a huge fan of 'fruit' images on my projects but gave in with this set. The reason? The sentiments and the gorgeous leaf and flower images. Even if I never used the strawberry images, there are still 14 stamps that would see a lot of use. For me that made buying this set a complete no-brainer. Of course there is a coordinating punch, and so I ended up getting that as well, just ... VIEW POST
