Earlier this month I joined the IDEAS Blog Hop where we brought you lots of ideas for using up various scraps. On that occasion I focussed on ribbon scraps, so today I thought I’d remind you about other things you may have lying around just waiting to be used. I’m talking about those background pieces you may have prepared, or sentiments you stamped but then changed your mind. While my pieces are actually leftover pre-printed parts from the Enjoy the Adventure Memories & More Card pack, the ... VIEW POST
Happy To Be Socialising Again
Like most people COVID has severely limited my options when it comes to going out. So I’m very happy to be able to visit restaurants and other ‘non-essential’ places that are more accessible now. Spring also sees the opening up of seasonal businesses and that’s a real treat too. With that in mind, I designed today’s project to take with me. It’s a small card that can be left (perhaps with a tip) to show appreciation for good service. I hope to give lots of these in the coming months. HAPPY ... VIEW POST
Thankfully Everything Is Figure-outable
Today has been one of those days when the simplest of projects just kept going wrong. Decorating a boring notebook is something I've done many times and it's not hard really. However, despite the challenges I faced, I'm pretty happy with the result. By the time I got to the end "Everything is figure-outable" seemed to sum it up perfectly. SIMPLEST COVER This notebook happens to be one I've been using for some time. It's 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" with a black binding and was looking rather ... VIEW POST
Tropical Oasis Meets Tropical Chic
I'm on a mission to introduce some of the new products from the Stampin' Up! January to June 2020 Mini Catalogue to old favourites from the 2019/2020 Annual Catalogue. Today's old favourites are the Tropical Chic Stamp Set and coordinating Tropical Thinlits. These pair wonderfully with the Tropical Oasis Suite. TROPICAL LEAVES I began today's project with a 3" x 4" card from the Tropical Oasis Memories & More Card Pack. I love the big leaf pattern and this was the influence for ... VIEW POST
This Year’s Vehicle Expenses Book
At the beginning of every year I replace the little notebook I keep in my car to record my mileage and other vehicle expenses. Usually I make up the notebook before the previous year ends but life got in the way. So last night I finally sat down to create the book that will see me though 2020. A GIRLY VEHICLE EXPENSES BOOK Somehow every year Stampin' Up! brings out stamp images, dies or sentiments that seem appropriate for my vehicle expenses book. This year I found exactly what I ... The Power Of The Sea
If the past few days have taught me anything it's never to underestimate the power of nature and the sea. We survived Hurricane Dorian with only minor damage but many parts of the Maritimes were not so lucky. It will probably be some time before the full cost of the storm will be understood. Today though, all is calm and the early morning sun is shining off the water in the bay. Despite the scary weekend, I love living by the sea. Today's project is another that I created a little while ... VIEW POST
