For today's simple Sunday project I thought I'd show you a fun way to wrap a small gift or loose candy. This sour cream container is probably one of the simplest containers to make and needs no scoring or folding. This version also includes a twine handle so you can hang it on the Christmas tree if you wish. SOUR CREAM CONTAINER So just to recap, the patterned paper I used for the sour cream container is from the Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper pack. For this project I cut ... VIEW POST
Jingle Bells And More Snow
We're back on that weather roller coaster with temperatures well below the average for this time of year. Yesterday we also had more snow to replace the stuff that washed away by last week's rain. Sadly with the temperature currently at minus 9, this lot won't be melting anytime soon. It looks like we'll be out with the shovels and snowblower this time around. Still, it does look very Christmassy. In fact it inspired me to leave quite a bit of white around the jingle bells paper on today's ... VIEW POST
Joy & Love and Power Interruptions
Well the forecasters weren’t wrong. We’re into our major second snowstorm of the season and it’s not even winter yet. As I’m typing this we’re at 10 minor power interruptions and it’s only a matter of time before it goes out completely. So it’s a race to get my Joy & Love project posted before that happens. JOY & LOVE I began with a piece of Very Vanilla Card and the Mistletoe Season Stamp Set. Using Old Olive ink I stamped the more solid mistletoe image and then added the ... VIEW POST

Kindness & Compassion
I blog every day, which means I design and make over 350 new projects every year, and I've been doing this for several years. That's a lot of papercrafting! I'm not always sure where I get my ideas from, and sometimes it can be as simple as picking up a stamp set or piece of patterned paper and just starting to play without any specific idea where it will take me. Other times it might be colours I've seen, or an occasion, often I'm influenced by my surroundings. Today I was most definitely ... VIEW POST
Seasonal greetings
May I be the first to wish you seasonal greetings and a happy Christmas for 2018! I, like many crafters, get very busy in the second half of the year preparing for craft fairs so I plan to spread my Christmas crafting over the next six months in the hope that I'll manage to avoid the last minute rush that seems to stalk me every year. I've started slowly with two cards so far, and I wanted to show you this one that uses a new stamp set from the Stampin' Up! 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue along ... VIEW POST
