Oh my goodness I just cannot get myself into gear today! Hubby and I had PCR tests done yesterday which confirmed the positive COVID results from the rapid tests on Monday. We’re both doing OK, lots of nose blowing mostly, although I have a sore throat that comes and goes. Self-isolation consists of watching the TV, reading, and a bit of crafting for me (although I’m easily distracted). Still, I did manage to design this “Hugs Prayers Love” card using the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set and ... VIEW POST
Delivering Cheer For A Little Longer
It may be nearly Christmas but that's not the only reason I'm crafting. In my family there's quite a few birthdays in December and several of them are right around the 25th. As the years have gone on I've discovered more and more people for whom the same is true. So it seemed only right that I intersperse my Christmas projects with birthday ones. That doesn't mean I have to put away my 'Christmas' stamp sets though. Today's project was created using the retiring Delivering Cheer Stamp Set ... VIEW POST
Positive News For Discounted Stamp Sets!
When looking through the Stampin' Up® catalogues I always tend to buy the stamp set & tool bundles I want first. That's because the bundles are discounted by 10% so it's a great way to get more for my crafting budget. Of course I mix and match my stamps, dies and punches so bundles give me lots of design flexibility too. Stand-alone stamp sets tend to come further down my wish list as far as ordering goes. So I was delighted to see that tomorrow Stampin' Up! is offering almost all cling ... VIEW POST
Positive Thoughts Will Get Me Through The Day
Nova Scotia is under a heat warning and it's not going to cool down for a couple of days yet. Yesterday at 4.30pm it was 29C, feeling like 39C with the humidity. At 7.30 this morning it's already 20C, but feeling like 23C, and it's set to heat up considerably throughout the day. Thankfully I don't have to go out today. So I'm setting my weather thoughts aside and feeling positive about the day ahead. I'll spend my time in my craft studio with the fan on. A little organising, a little ... VIEW POST
Velveteen Paper Is Gorgeous
My plan for today's project was simple, make a masculine / gender neutral birthday gift tag. I also wanted to include the new Color Velveteen Paper in the design and have some die cut pieces too. As it turned out I ended up using three different die sets but the final result was definitely worth it. VELVETEEN PAPER It all started with the pack of Color Velveteen Paper. There are three colours in the pack, Soft Sea Foam, Highland Heather and the one I chose today, Cinnamon Cider. This ... VIEW POST
Taking Up A Masculine Card Challenge
After yesterday's very small, colourful project I have something quite different for you. I received an e-mail from The Paper Players announcing their latest design challenge and I knew I'd have to take part. The theme this week is masculine birthdays and who couldn't use more masculine birthday card ideas? So with a brand new pack of Designer Series Paper (DSP) I sat down and set to work. By the time I'd finished I'd created a very dramatic card indeed. NEW MASCULINE DSP I bought ... VIEW POST
