Today's project has it all. A retiring stamp set, a video showing a couple of techniques, and a new take on a continuing stamp set. At the end there's also a sneak peek from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue that goes live on June 3rd. It all started because I wanted to make one last card using the retiring On To Adventure Stamp Set... OFF CAMERA PREPARATIONS In order to keep my video fairly short I decided to do a few things off camera first. Using my Paper Trimmer I cut some Thick ... VIEW POST
Another Catalogue Collaboration
Today my blog post is two hours later than usual and I have no excuse other than I had a lie in. The morning started slowly and seems to be continuing in the same vein, not that that's a bad thing. When I got up I had in mind a masculine gift tag, and that's what I made. What I hadn't known at the start that I'd end up with a collaboration using products from the Annual and new Mini catalogues. It's a simple Sunday project that makes me smile. ON TO ADVENTURE I began by cutting a ... VIEW POST
An Old Fashioned Grandma
One of the fondest memories I have from my childhood is our visits to see Grandma. She and Grandpa only lived about 18 miles away, but when you had no car getting there wasn't so easy. So when we were able to visit it was always a big event. Best clothes, and definitely best behaviour. I loved the look of their little maisonette, which was full of photos and trinkets and memories. The walls and furnishings weren't threadbare, but everything felt cosy and lived-in, if that makes ... VIEW POST
Following My Bliss
I am having altogether too much fun with the On To Adventure Stamp Set. My daughter bought it for me for Mother's Day as the four characters reminded her of our family. I've already created projects with 'Alyssa' (my granddaughter, and 'hubby', and now it's my turn to step into the spotlight. So for today's simple Sunday project I decided to follow my bliss. A SIMPLE ONE LAYER DESIGN I began with a 2" x 5-1/2" strip of Thick Whisper White Card and shaped the top using the Scalloped ... VIEW POST
This Photographer Made Me Smile
Here's an admission... I might just be addicted to pocket photo albums. Or decorating them at least. I will get around to adding photos, but for now this is too much fun. The photographer image in the new On To Adventure Stamp Set didn't help either. So I gave in and made this album... SCENIC SUNSET I began with the sunset, which seems a little backwards but there you are... First I found a petal pink design in the Perennial Essence 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. I ... Ommm Yoga Na Laugh At This
Have you ever looked at something and only seen what you wanted to see? Well that happened to me with the On To Adventure Stamp Set when I saw four generations of my family. There was me, my hubby (complete with camera), plus my Dad (even though he doesn't play golf) and our dancing granddaughter. It was only as I started to make a birthday card with the little dancing girl that I realised I'd missed a teeny tiny detail. You see it appears that the young dancer is actually an older lady ...
