Today’s project is another one using the Phrases & Frames Stamp Set and coordinating dies. These items were originally released in the May to September Catalogue but are now part of the Online Exclusives range. The Phrases & Frames Dies were one of the first of the new ‘Impressions’ Dies, designed to give a deeply textured result. To get the best outcome you will need the new Impressions Plate. However the dies still work without it. Using the stamp set and dies together I created this ... VIEW POST

Cutest Little Birdies
Oh my, yesterday really got away from me! It started with an early medical appointment, then some quick errands, before visiting with a friend. The main reason was to drop off her latest Stampin’ Up! order but I stopped for a chat over coffee. She also loves to bake, so we had some of that too. We chatted for quite some time and I completely forgot I had a blog post to write, so albeit a day late here’s a quick and easy card featuring the Cutest Crew Stamp Set. I began by cutting a 5-1/2" x ... VIEW POST
Cutest Dogs
Can you believe we’re almost a third of the way through August already! While it’s still very hot here in Nova Scotia there are subtle signs that autumn is not that far away. That means I need to start working on projects for the various craft fairs I’ll be attending. Each time I receive a request for something with a particular theme, sentiment, or focal image I always make a note. Common requests are for animals and the Cutest Crew Stamp Set is going to be the perfect addition for that. I ... VIEW POST
IDEAS Blog Hop: Sweet Foliage
Oh my goodness it’s too hot to do anything, and it’s forecast to get worse over the next few days. However I’ve used an old trick of shutting all the windows first thing and drawing the curtains. It really does make a difference to how it feels indoors and costs absolutely nothing. When the weather’s like this I can’t even concentrate on crafting. So while I start planning for a craft fair in September instead, here’s a belated birthday card I made last week using the new Sweet Foliage Stamp ... VIEW POST
Cutest Cats
On Thursday I created a sweet notebook with gold foil letters using the new Stampin’ Hot Foil System. As part of the design I stamped and coloured a line of cats from the Cutest Crew Stamp Set. However I only had room to use three of the cats on the notebook and snipped off the other two. Today as I prepared to create today’s project I looked at the leftover piece and realised I’d inadvertently immortalised the two stray kittens who'd adopted us in 2010, Rascal (ginger) and Houdini ... Hot Foil Heaven
I haven’t blogged on a Thursday for quite some time but I had to join the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop. This month their theme is “Anything but a card” and that fitted nicely with the project I’d just completed. I’d already planned to use the Cutest Crew Stamp Set and coordinating Dies I’d just got, however I was distracted when another order arrived containing the new Stampin’ Hot Foil System. So having created some gorgeous golden letters as my first test of the hot foil process I simply had to ... VIEW POST
