When I was growing up we always said "Merry Christmas and a happy New Year". So ever since, even without the new year bit, I've stuck with "Merry Christmas". It never occurred to me that this might seem odd to some, but it was a question raised by one of my customers recently. It came about when she ordered the Happy Holly-Days Stamp Set and said how grateful she was that it included her preferred "Happy Christmas" greeting. So to acknowledge this difference I've created today's project with ... VIEW POST

Create A Blessings Jar For Thanksgiving
As Thanksgiving approaches (it's on October 11 here in Canada) thoughts turn to everything I'm grateful for. No matter what stresses I have, I can always find at least one reason to be thankful. So it seemed the perfect time to write them down on slips of paper. That way when I'm having a tough day I can look back at them to restore my perspective on life. Lavender From Nature’s Harvest Dies

Fortunately the project I have for you is super simple. It all hinges on the large floral image from the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set. SIMPLE GET WELL CARD First though I chose my colour scheme and for what I had in mind black and white was perfect. I began by using my Paper Trimmer to cut and score a piece of Basic ... VIEW POST
Drybrush And Blending Brushes Combined Today
Did you have a good weekend? I didn't get as much done as I'd liked, but I did solve a major problem on my computer so I'm calling that a win. Between decluttering my studio and computer I also found time for a little crafting. My plan was to try out a new (to me) background stamp called Drybrush. Me being me however, I had something a little different in mind for my first project. DRYBRUSH OVER INK Before I could get to the Drybrush Stamp Set I first needed to prepare the base. So ...
