With only 3 days before the big day I’ve realised that I still have a lot to get done. I have the little notebook I created a couple of months ago and I’m constantly adding things I’ve forgotten. This book will definitely give me a head-start for Christmas 2023 as many of the tasks are the same every year. One thing I did realise though is that I wanted a separate list of my go-to seasonal recipes. So I created this project and will write the details on the back. CHRISTMAS PAPER This ... VIEW POST
Candy On The Side
One week today will be Christmas Day which means if you haven’t yet posted your Christmas cards they’re not going to arrive in time. Still there’s lots of crafting to do to get ready for the big day and less and less time to do it in. So for this week’s simple Sunday project I thought I’d show you a quick way to package a small treat. With scraps of patterned paper, some embellishments and ribbon I set to work. The By My Side Stamp Set was just close by. SIMPLE SIDE PROJECT I created two ... VIEW POST
Christmas With Squirrels
I’ve been counting down the weeks to Christmas for a while now and it can’t be ignored any longer. Today is November 25th and the big day is only a month away. I’m not sure how it snuck up on me but I may be officially in panic mode! It’s a good job I designed and made a stash of cards during my recent personal challenge. Today I have a Christmas card featuring squirrels. They aren’t usually associated with Christmas but somehow these particular squirrels just seemed the perfect fit. INKED ... VIEW POST
Magnet Board: Christmas Makeover
Have you seen the Celebrate Today Magnet Board Kit? I bought a couple when they were added to the Stampin’ Up! Kits Collection. At its heart is a white 12” x 12” metal ‘board’ in a white frame. From there you use the 12” x 12” patterned paper, printed cards and stickers to set up the board as you want. However what I like most is that I can combine it with pieces from my stash to update the look or theme. Today my board is ready for Christmas planning. CHRISTMAS HOLLY As I'd previously ... Painted Christmas Revisited
While the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue gives us products for a full year, the same is not true of their Mini Catalogues. I love that these ‘Minis’ give me additional seasonal goodies but sometimes I feel that 6 months is not enough. Admittedly some items get carried over, however that rarely happens for the paper packs. This year though I get a second chance with the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP). I especially love this pine cones pattern and couldn’t wait to use it again on a ... VIEW POST
Christmas Paper Scraps Are Not Wasted
With Christmas only days away I'm acutely aware of all the things I still have to do. Today's simple Sunday project actually began as an attempt to use up the various scraps of paper I have laying around. I found a few bits from the Painted Christmas 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack that had images that could be individually cut out. So one evening last week while watching a Christmas movie I did just that using my Paper Snips. By the time I was done I had a nice little pile of ... VIEW POST
