It’s the first Friday in the month and that means it’s time for another A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. This month is all about the November kit called “From The North Pole”. I’ve had lots of fun with this kit including designing alternate projects to the original gift tag designs. This kit is really versatile but what’s even better is that like many Paper Pumpkin kits it’s given me ideas for projects long after the kit is used up. But for today here’s a simple Christmas card and ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing: Spooky Treats
I’m still suffering with a bad cold and it’s definitely slowing me down. Thankfully I’ve improved enough to be able to take part in this month’s A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. Today it’s all about the September 2022 Kit called Spooky Treats. While I’m not a huge fan of Halloween I know a lot of you are, so my first project is a larger box for even more Halloween treats. Then my second project is an easy Christmas idea with a simple trick to disguise those bright box colours. NOT SO SPOOKY ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing: Sweet Sunflowers
It’s the first Friday in September and that means I’m taking part in the A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. This month I’m excited to bring you a couple of alternate projects using the August Paper Pumpkin kit called “Sweet Sunflowers”. This amazing kit was chock full of prepared pieces. These included printed card bases and envelopes with gorgeous watercolour images that were hand-painted by one of the designers at Stampin’ Up! If you missed out on the kit I hope my designs will inspire you to ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing: Sending Good Thoughts
Today is the first Friday of the month and time for another inspirational blog hop. For the past several years I’ve been part of the A Paper Pumpkin Thing team bringing you alternate project ideas using the latest Paper Pumpkin kit. Today we’re showcasing the July kit called “Sending Good Thoughts”. This nautical-themed kit contained lots of fun pieces for layering. So for my alternate projects I decided to pare it right back with a very simple gender-neutral “thinking of you” card. Followed by ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing: Pick Of The Crop
It's the last Thursday of the month and time for another A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. This month we're exploring the Pick of the Crop card kit. I must be honest and say that I'm not a huge fan of fruit and vegetable-themed stamp sets but this kit surprised me. Once I actually began playing with it I just couldn't stop. When I opened up the kit I really couldn't see myself making lots of cards. Instead I immediately thought of all the other food-related projects that I could ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing: Celebrating In Color
It's the last Thursday of the month and time for another A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. To be honest I thought I'd have to miss this one as my Celebrating In Color kit arrived quite late. Even so, I managed to create two alternate projects in the short time I had available. While I loved the bright 'as designed' projects I thought it would be fun to try something focusing on the foiled sentiments. So with the kit and few extras from my craft studio I set to work... I love the card ... VIEW POST
