This time last week I was preparing for my first craft show of the season. I love talking to everyone who visits my table and get feedback on my designs. It’s funny how many people are drawn to projects that include images of animals and thankfully I had lots to show them. I do need to stock up though, so during my personal “24 cards in 24 hours” challenge animals did feature on many of the cards. Number 6 of the 24 was this one with a custom-coloured embossed penguin. Penguin Playtime
Lots of things to do, so I’m thankful today is Sunday and that means a simple project. I was actually a little cold when I woke up this morning and although the day will warm up, winter is on my mind. So when I sat down at my craft table the Penguin Place Stamp Set inevitably popped into my head. This is a two-step stamp set which means the various pieces can be combined to create lots of different scenes. With a little Saran Wrap technique, this was the result. PENGUIN PLACE PIECES I ... Penguin Place Is Back
It’s been a case of déjà vu this morning as I begin to write this blog post. I thought it was time to pull out the Penguin Place Stamp Set and coordinating Penguin Builder Punch to create a sweet Christmas Card. Everything came together as planned and I’m really happy with the results. So why am I left with the nagging feeling that I’ve made this card before? I’ve checked back at my photos from last year and found several projects, but none look remotely like this. Let’s hope so. FLUFFY ... VIEW POST
Penguin Weather On The Way
It's time to get out the thermals. All our snow has been washed away and it looks like it will be a green Christmas. Not that I'll want to go out, it's getting much colder and I'm definitely a warm weather person. Later today with the wind it's going to feel like minus 17C! Brrr, much to cold for me. So I'll take it as a sign that I'm meant to stay home and play. Yesterday I took delivery of a box of goodies from the new January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue so I have sneak peek projects to ... Three Stamp Sets For One Birthday Card
I must apologise for the late arrival of today's blog post. Today is obviously going to be one of those days where things take that much longer to get done. What's frustrating is that my birthday card project was done and photographed yesterday. But I've not been nearly as efficient this morning. In my defence I've had long video chat with my daughter and twin 9-month old grandbabies, and taken the garbage to the end of the drive in the snow. One very enjoyable distraction and the other, ... Playing With Another Penguin
When I'm papercrafting I often sit down with no particular idea in mind. If I'm looking for inspiration it may be as simple as picking up a stamp set and starting to stamp. Once I've completed one step, the next one seems to come naturally. My strategy is to just keep playing and see where the journey takes me. That doesn't mean I do something and then never change my mind. It happens. However any unused pieces will be set aside and end up on another project later. I must admit though ... VIEW POST
