The rain continues to fall and some (but not all) of the wildfires in Nova Scotia are out, or at least under control. The pictures that are being released are heartbreaking with so many homes and businesses damaged or destroyed. Still, people will likely rebuild but it will take quite some time. So while the weather prevents us from doing much in the garden I decided to stay in and craft (obviously). For this week’s simple Sunday project I created a fun birthday card using the Construction Zone ... VIEW POST
By My Side Once More
It’s the weekend. Yay! Despite having lots to do I’m looking forward to being productive at home. I’ve made my list and it’s here at the side of my computer to remind me what I want to achieve. As well as some decluttering and reorganising in my craft studio, I’ve allowed myself time to ‘play’ as I want to revisit some older, but still available, stamp sets and dies before my new catalogue order arrives next week. So today’s "thinking of you card" features the By My Side Stamp Set. BLENDS ... VIEW POST
Gnomes Final Farewell
Just as I predicted, it seems that a lot of products from the Last Chance List sold out yesterday. Free shipping will do that. Still, we haven’t much longer to wait until the Stampin’ Up! 2023/2024 Annual Catalogue goes live. There’s so many good things coming and I plan to start my sneak peek series on Tuesday. That will be just a week from the launch. Meanwhile, I wanted to remind you about the retiring Friendly Gnomes Stamp Set and coordinating Gnomes Dies with this “gnome sweet gnome” gift ... VIEW POST
Gnomes Are Back!
As we approach the end of both current Stampin’ Up! catalogues I’m watching the inventory reports very closely. Yesterday the Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends sold out and are now discontinued. From this I presume that Soft Succulent isn’t going to transition into one of the main Stampin’ Up! colour families when they’re refreshed in May. But the inventory report isn’t all bad news. In fact the Gnomes Dies are back and available to order again. These coordinate in part with the Friendly Gnomes ... VIEW POST
Warm And Cosy
Ooh it was mighty cold yesterday. The outdoor thermometer hovered around minus 24 Centigrade for most of the day. Thankfully the arctic air has moved on and it’s warming up. Not that it will be warm by any means, but hovering around zero is a lot more bearable. Being the sensible person that I am, I decided the extreme weather was Mother Nature’s way of telling me I should stay warm and cosy in my craft studio. While playing I came across this simple card I’ve not yet shown you. WARM ... VIEW POST
Greatest Journey Silhouettes
It’s been decades since I last rode a bike and I’m not even sure I could still do it. However the mountain biker in the Greatest Journey Dies really called to me. It reminds me of my son who never learned to drive but preferred to cycle everywhere. He loved the freedom cycling gave him to go anywhere and he liked to ride fast, especially when zipping past friends and work colleagues with a grin on his face. So using this simple silhouette and a sentiment I designed this card. GREATEST ... VIEW POST
