What's your thoughts about images of empty chairs? My daughter says they make her think of someone dying. Me? I think of them as inviting me to sit and relax. That was my thought when I made my first project using the Seaside View Stamp Set. I wanted to create a colourful deck scene with a view over the water. Once I was done I thought it would be perfect to decorate a mini pocket photo album. So that's what I ended up with today. VIEW FROM A SHIP? I began with the image of two ... VIEW POST
Creating A Little Sea & Sunshine
Yesterday didn't go at all how I'd planned. I thought I would spend the evening working on some projects for today and later in the week. I had a box of new products from Stampin' Up! and lots of ideas. Unfortunately something pretty major happened to my computer and I ended up spending hours recovering and reinstalling data and software instead. So today's project is a fairly quick one using the Sending Sunshine Stamp Set. POCKET PHOTO ALBUM I must admit I love decorating the covers ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing – My Wonderful Family
After the tragic events here in Nova Scotia on April 18th and 19th we are all focusing on those we love, and holding them closer in our hearts. So the April Paper Pumpkin kit "My Wonderful Family" was very timely. I've really enjoyed playing with this kit and creating alternate projects for this month's A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. #SIMPLESTAMPING CARD My first alternate project idea is a simple card that needs no special tools or techniques to put together. Just Breathe
As more details emerge of the tragedy that happened here in Nova Scotia on Sunday it's easy to become overwhelmed. We all want to know what happened and why someone would do something like this. But sometimes we simply need to take a step back and just breathe. The answers will come in time. Today's project isn't at all what I had planned. It's a pocket photo album that I will now fill with photos showing the beauty and serenity of my part of Nova Scotia. While healing will take time, we ... VIEW POST
A Day To Collect Beautiful Moments
It's Family Day in Nova Scotia and I knew exactly what I wanted to make for you today. Family to me means making memories and I love to be able to look back on them. While photos on a phone or other device might be convenient for many, I still love to see some of these special moments printed out and I can't be the only one who feels this way. So here's an idea for a simple pocket photo album cover. COLLECT BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS This scene was created using the Beautiful Moments Stamp Set ... VIEW POST
Punch, Then Punch Again To Be Sure
For today's Simple Sunday project I thought it would be fun to decorate another pocket photo album. These have been really popular at the craft fairs I've attended over the past couple of weeks. Many people commented what great gifts photo albums can make. They are meaningful and not difficult to put together, and not too expensive to mail either. Today's project is a case in point, pretty paper a stamp set and punch and you're good to go. SMILES & LOVE I began with a pocket ... VIEW POST
