Well yesterday was interesting. Hubby was out with the snowblower for more than 5 hours trying to clear our driveway after the snowstorm. While the wind scrubbed some areas, in others we had snowdrifts up to 5 feet deep. The road was just as bad, making for challenging conditions for the snowplow driver. But with the sunshine revealing the patterns carved in the snow by the wind I was reminded of the free Simply Marbleous 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP). So that's what I wanted to ... VIEW POST
Three Stamp Sets For One Birthday Card
I must apologise for the late arrival of today's blog post. Today is obviously going to be one of those days where things take that much longer to get done. What's frustrating is that my birthday card project was done and photographed yesterday. But I've not been nearly as efficient this morning. In my defence I've had long video chat with my daughter and twin 9-month old grandbabies, and taken the garbage to the end of the drive in the snow. One very enjoyable distraction and the other, ... Timeless Tulips For A Sympathy Card
At a recent craft fair I was struck by the number of people looking for get well, thinking of you and sympathy cards. Most said that while they hoped never to need to send them, it was something they always kept on hand. That way if they did need to send a card they had one that could go in the mail the same day. So when I was thinking about making a card for today's blog I immediately thought of a sympathy card. Out came the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set and I got to work. BEAUTY OF THE ... VIEW POST
Peaceful Deer Isn’t All Animals
Just recently I received an order containing the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set and coordinating Deer Builder Punch. By adding some adhesive to my order I'd bumped up the total, and earned a free product from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. It made sense to choose the Peaceful Prints 12" x 12" Designer Series paper (DSP) pack as it coordinates with the stamp set. Plus it was free and who wouldn't want free papercrafting stuff? Still, when I got the stamp set it wasn't the deer that excited me, it ... VIEW POST
Prized Peony For A Thinking Of You Card
Today's project is another one that came about because I have been reorganising my craft studio. Once again I came across a stamp set I haven't used in ages, this time it was Prized Peony. The large floral images and beautifully scripted sentiments work well with simple cards, but today I went with something a little more involved. PEONY IMAGE My project began when I stamped the peony and bud image onto Thick Basic White Card using Smoky Slate ink. Choosing this rather than black ... VIEW POST
Flower & Field But Not Forever
Now we're into February there's only 24 days of the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion left. When choosing my free items I'm torn between choosing one of the gorgeous Designer Series Paper (DSP) packs or the exclusive stamp sets. I suppose it's a good job that the promotion coincides with the new Mini Catalogue. I always take advantage and stock up on new products, as well as staples like card, envelopes and adhesives. Then I get to choose several free items. One of my favourites this ... VIEW POST
