When it comes to pretty patterned paper my education has taken another leap forward. Yesterday I did something that would have been unthinkable even a few short weeks ago… I cut up a sheet of the Dainty Flowers 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) that you can get for free during Sale-A-Bration. Nothing odd there you might think. But it wasn’t just any sheet, it was the sheet with the oval floral frames, and I cut right through the middle of one of them. But I had my reasons. CUT THROUGH ... A Green Christmas
Twice in the past few days we’ve had a little snow forecast that failed to materialise. We may see some this evening followed by a lot of rain that will wash it all away. I’m still hopeful for at least a dusting of the white stuff for Christmas Day. Just enough to make it look pretty and festive, but hopefully without needing us to go out and shovel it. The lack of snow did influence today’s project which combines my three favourite greens with a pop of red and gold. OMBRE CHRISTMAS ... VIEW POST
Splendid But Still Retiring
Well it’s the end of November and the eve of the Last Chance promotion. So beginning tomorrow selected products being retired from the July to December Mini Catalogue will be on sale at up to 60% off. But don’t be fooled, in reality there’s only a limited number of items not retiring. As is common, all of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) is going, including the Splendid Day Specialty DSP. I particularly liked this pack as the colours in pearlised and foiled patterns were great for all sorts of ... VIEW POST
Poinsettia Idea
When I’m crafting I like to be able to find exactly what I need when I need it. Mostly that is achieved by having a place for everything and ‘resetting’ my craft space between each project. This is much less stressful than fruitless searching for something among an ever-growing pile on my desk. One of the jobs that I’ve been been meaning to do for a long time is make a list of the label style dies I have. Today’s poinsettia project reminded me I still need to do that. 'TIS THE ... VIEW POST
Thanks Again
Since the restrictions due to CoVid have all but disappeared it’s great to be able to eat out again. As a result I was reminded of an idea I had a while ago when leaving a tip for the server. On that occasion I simply created a mini card and envelope but there’s lots of other options. So today I decided to show you a more elaborate idea using the Pretty Pillowbox Dies. However instead of stamping a “thank you” sentiment I pulled out the Thanks & Hello Embossing Folders. THANKS FOR ... VIEW POST
Autumn In The Air
With the year flying by I have some project ideas using pine cones collected from trees at the far end of our property. Unfortunately after ignoring that area for too long the grass is now about two feet tall making getting to the trees a challenge. So rather than wade through on foot I decided to tackle two tasks at once and mow a path through. My subsequent trip around the garden also revealed signs that autumn is on the horizon and it inspired me to create this acorn-decorated ... VIEW POST
