It occurred to me too late yesterday that my last three projects were all in shades of blue. So when I sat down to make today's project all I had in my mind was something that wasn't blue. It was only as I looked at the open flower in the Prized Peony Stamp Set that I settled on Magenta Madness. And from there the card almost made itself. Colouring A Distinktive Peony
Yesterday's pretty photo album project involved quite a lot of colouring so today I wanted to scale it right back. Not everyone understands or wants to stress over shading, and that includes me from time to time. That's when Stampin' Up!'s Distinktive® stamp images are useful. You see, Distinktive stamps are made with the shading built into the stamp image. All I had to do was colour over the top to get a great image for my card. Peony Practice Pays Off
OK I admit it, I'm a sucker for flower images and dies. I don't buy every one that Stampin' Up! brings out, but I do buy quite a few. When I first saw the 2020/21 Annual Catalogue I was immediately captivated by the Peony Garden Suite. There's pretty paper, gorgeous floral images and sentiments in the stamp set, and coordinating dies. So I got it all.
