So the new annual catalogue launch went smoothly yesterday with no major issues reported. It was a busy time for me, tinged with sadness as I put away the retired catalogue. It’s like saying goodbye to an old friend. On the plus side I’ve always found that new products bring added options for the ones carrying over. This became immediately obvious to me yesterday as I combined an old (but still available) favourite, Campology, with the new He’s All That Stamp Set, and two new die sets for good ... VIEW POST
Happiness Is A Paper Hug
Today I'm continuing with my quest to revisit older but still available Stampin' Up! products. In the end I used two stamp sets. The first, Hippo Happiness, is very likely to be on the Annual Catalogue retiring list that's revealed next month. The other, Through It Together, is from the January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue. It's a very versatile sentiment only stamp set and hopefully it will make it into the new Annual Catalogue. With stamps, ink and paper close at hand I sat down and began ... VIEW POST
Harvest Dies Make The Cut
The wind's picking up now and I think we're ready for the storm. Thankfully I was able to get my blog post completed too. My project is a pretty notebook decorated on the front with a watercoloured flower created using the Harvest Dies. I'm pleased to be able to confirm that the dies and coordinating Nature's Harvest Stamp Set both made the cut. This means that they'll continue to be available after the July to December 2021 Mini Catalogue ends on January 3rd. What's even better is that ... VIEW POST
Gilded Leafing – A Successful First Attempt
When it comes to 'new' products and techniques I'm often late to the party. It's not that I'm afraid to try new things, but rather that I'm not one to jump straight in. So it took me a little while to decide to get the Gilded Leafing, and a while longer to actually use it. Gilded leafing comes in a large tub that is full to the brim with the most delicate gold flakes. Using it is essentially quite simple you just attach it to a project with some form of glue. I've seen various technique ... VIEW POST
Penguin Cuteness To The Rescue
Despite the fact that I design and make projects every day I still sometimes suffer from creative block. If I'm working to a deadline that can be particularly stressful so I try to get my projects done ahead of time. When my creative mojo deserts me my goto solution is to simply walk away. This is what I did with today's tag project. I'd made the tag and got the streamers. I had the die-cut "happy birthday" in Very Vanilla and Basic Black ready, but from there I was stumped. So I put the ... VIEW POST
Hand-Penned Petals Called To Me Again
Since I've not had access to my craft room for a while I've been a bit limited in what I have available for my designs. It's a valid excuse, but I'll admit it's not the whole truth. You see I have a feeling that I'd probably keep going back to the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set regardless. I've simply fallen in love with the images and just keep getting more and more ideas. So I hope you'll allow me to indulge myself once again with this pretty thank you card. COLOURS FIRST While I ... VIEW POST
