In just nine days time, on May 25th, Stampin’ Up! will reveal the Last Chance List and we’ll find out which products from the Stampin’ Up! January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue will be retiring forever. Some products have already been carried over into the 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue. However the question is whether any more will be reprieved. Past experience tells me that all the Designer Series Paper (DSP) packs will go. So today I used one of my favourites, Symbols of Fortune to create this ... VIEW POST
Miss You Already
With all the excitement over the Stampin’ Up! 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue I thought it was time to remind you that the January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue is coming to an end and a lot of those products will be retired. Essentially if a product from the ‘Mini’ is not in the Annual Catalogue you should assume it will appear on the Retiring List on May 25th. Of all those products, the item I will miss most will definitely be the New Horizons 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper (DSP). NEW ... VIEW POST
Sea Dies Snippet
This project is one of those created as a result of a mistake. I'd actually planned to make a card using the frame from the Sea Dies set. However I wasn't paying attention when I placed the die on the Thick Basic White Card and it wasn't centred. As a result I had to scrap that piece and start over again. Of course when I say 'scrap' that doesn't mean it was destined for the garbage (well not all of it at least). You know that’s simply not my style. SEA DIES MISTAKE So for this 'bonus' ... VIEW POST
Another Adventure With Campology
So the new annual catalogue launch went smoothly yesterday with no major issues reported. It was a busy time for me, tinged with sadness as I put away the retired catalogue. It’s like saying goodbye to an old friend. On the plus side I’ve always found that new products bring added options for the ones carrying over. This became immediately obvious to me yesterday as I combined an old (but still available) favourite, Campology, with the new He’s All That Stamp Set, and two new die sets for good ... VIEW POST
Birthday Chick Flies The Coop
Every day it’s getting harder to find retiring products I have, that haven’t yet sold out. Today though I managed to cram a whopping seven of them onto one little project. The Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set and coordinating Birthday Chick Dies have been such fun to play with. Of course it goes without saying I’m sad to lose the four sets of 2020/2022 In Color Stampin’ Blends (although I only used three of them today). I finished off with a retiring punch and ribbon. All will definitely be ... VIEW POST
Peaceful Scene With Sunset Sky
It’s no secret that I’m happy to mix and match images and sentiments from different stamp sets. In fact I sometimes buy a set precisely because I see a different use for some of the stamps. This was definitely the case with the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set in the July to December 2021 Mini Catalogue. With four different tree images included, it’s a very useful set. I’m delighted Peaceful Deer has been carried over to the new Annual Catalogue, and inked it up again for today’s simple Sunday card ... VIEW POST
