Have you seen the Enjoy The Journey 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the Stampin’ Up! January to April 2023 Mini Catalogue? I was immediately drawn to it for the scenery type designs which are perfect for many of my cards and projects. This pack is almost certainly going to be on the Retiring List next week so I’m making the most of every scrap. Of course with wonderful outdoor scenes I couldn’t resist grabbing the Peekaboo Farm Stamp Set once more to create this horse themed ... VIEW POST
Elephant Colour Change
It’s now only 11 days until Stampin’ Up! reveals their 2023/2024 Annual Catalogue. At that time we may not get the actual list of products that will be retiring, but if something is not in the catalogue it’s a pretty safe bet it’s going. One of the stamp sets I’d hate to lose is Elephant Parade. I’ve made lots of projects using this set but I have many more ideas. However it was only this morning I realised all my previous elephants were grey, so today I tried something slightly ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing: Sunshine & Smiles
It’s the first Friday of the month and that means it’s time for the A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. This month the team has been having a blast playing with the February 2023 kit called “Sunshine & Smiles”. Unusually we got a pretty good feel for this kit after being told it coordinated with the Rain Or Shine suite on pages 50 and 51 of the January to April 2023 Mini Catalogue. That coordination also gave us lots more inspiration and supplies for designing alternate projects with this ... VIEW POST
Whale Hello Again
Once upon a time I had patterned paper that paired beautifully with a number of sea-themed stamp sets. Sadly the paper retired and as a result my interest in the stamp sets waned. But I’ve come to realise that crafting is a circle of trends, ideas and inspiration. So when I opened up the new Hello, Irresistible 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper (DSP) I was inspired to revisit the Whale Done Stamp Set. The announcement from Stampin’ Up! that the Pretty Peacock colour is returning soon didn’t hurt ... VIEW POST
Moment For Gratitude
Today is Heritage Day here in Nova Scotia. It serves as an annual reminder of the people, places and events that make up our Province’s unique history. It’s one of the few Statutory Holidays here and so most businesses are closed. Interestingly though it’s not a federal holiday, so federal offices and federally regulated businesses like Canada Post remain open. Other provinces also mark the third Monday in February although with a different name e.g. Family Day. Regardless, it’s good to take a ... VIEW POST
Enjoy The Journey
A little while ago I mentioned that I’d got the Greatest Journey Stamp Set and coordinating Dies. I also admitted that I’d somehow forgotten to order the Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper (DSP) that was created to compliment the stamps and dies. While I was mentally kicking myself at the time the frustration didn’t last long. That’s because before I managed to send in my next order Stampin’ Up! allocated a batch of this paper as a new Sale-A-Bration item so I ended up getting it for free ... VIEW POST
