The other day my hubby called me to the window as there was a large bird in our garden that he didn't recognise. Well very much true to form, the minute I got to the window the said bird flew off, but I did manage to get a bit of a look and suspect it was a heron. We see all kinds of wildlife around our little patch of Nova Scotia and the views from our home often inspire me to create projects like this simple picture. I started with a piece of card in my new favourite background ... VIEW POST
Way back Wednesday
I've had a lot of fun looking back over projects that I made months and sometimes years ago, and last week in my blog post Remember to look back I reminded you of a sympathy card made using the Colorful Seasons and Flourishing Phrases Stamp Sets together with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies. I recently came across another project that has been really popular, no doubt because it uses the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set which is still available despite being first sold by Stampin' Up! more than a ... Sailing away
Living on a hill overlooking the Cobequid Bay here in Nova Scotia it stands to reason that I'd be attracted to stamp sets that feature water images. Lilypad Lake is one such stamp set and the fact that it can be purchased as a bundle at a 10% discount was even better. Although I wasn't sure how much use I'd have for an octopus image, I could see a lots of possibilities in the rest of the bundle, and I have to say since getting the them I've not been disappointed. So my first project is a card and although there is a gorgeous pack of ... VIEW POST
Enjoy life
It's Mother's Day here in Canada and I'm looking forward to chatting with our daughter and granddaughter later today. It's also a sad time since I won't be able to talk with our son who passed away suddenly last year. So for today's simple Sunday project I decided to create a bookmark with a sentiment that really spoke to my heart when I saw it. It's from the new Enjoy Life Stamp Set from the Stampin' Up! 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue, and rather than explain what I did, I decided to film the ... VIEW POST
