Triangle favor box for Hershey Nuggets created using images from the Merry Christmas To All and Signs of Santa Stamp Sets from Stampin' Up!

Triangle Box for Hershey Nuggets

December 14, 2018 Leave a Comment

While it's no secret that I love York Peppermint Patties, I do have other favourite chocolates too.  Since moving to Canada I've discovered Hershey Nuggets and have not yet managed to eat just one.  So it should come as no surprise that today's project features these in a little triangle box that's perfect for a table favor or stocking stuffer. TRIANGLE BOX LAYOUT Obviously this project all started with the box. Using my Stampin' Trimmer I began by cutting a piece of Soft Sea Foam Card ... VIEW POST

Cold like the North Pole

Of all the Stamp Sets in the Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalogue, Signs of Santa has to be my favourite.  As soon as I was able it was the first thing I ordered, along with other parts of the suite.  I love the line art characters and additional images, especially the 'official seal of the North Pole'.  My granddaughter Alyssa loves this set too as she showed when visiting me in October.  In fact the stamp set, coordinating dies, paper and accessories have been so popular that the entire suite ... North Pole Signs

November 7, 2018 Leave a Comment

With December 25th less than 7 weeks away, Christmas planning is really getting into full swing.  Sometimes, though despite all the preparations, it’s easy to get surprised with the need for a last minute gift.  When this happens a gift card in a nice holder could be the perfect solution. So for today’s project I created a gift card envelope with a North Pole theme GIFT CARD ENVELOPE I began by making the gift card envelope using a 5-12” x 5-1/2” piece of Real Red Card and the Envelope ... Merry Christmas Pop-Up Card

October 24, 2018 2 Comments

Yesterday I had a fun couple of hours in my craft studio with a very special guest, my granddaughter Alyssa.  She'll be 8 next month and it was such fun to watch her design and create her own pop-up Christmas card. Let me say from the outset that this card was all her idea.  She's been playing with the "pop-up" process at home and wanted to show me how to do it.  All I did was show her how to put the pop-up layer inside another card to hide the mechanism.  Then, apart from some very minor ... Elves On Parade

October 21, 2018 4 Comments

Sometimes I spend a lot of time on my projects and there may be fancy techniques or special tools needed.  Sometimes though I just need to make a card as quickly as possible.  Despite a whole slew of elves bringing in the presents, this simple Sunday project was really fast to make. BRING ON THE ELVES I began by cutting and scoring a piece of Poppy Parade Card using my Stampin' Trimmer.  Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create the card ... Z-fold Christmas card with faux wax Santa's seal created using the Signs of Santa Stamp Set and Santa's Signpost Framelits from Stampin' Up!

Official Seal Of The North Pole

October 14, 2018 4 Comments

Even though making 24 different cards in 24 hours was a challenge last weekend, I still found time to experiment.  Today's Z-fold card was the second of the 24 and I love the faux wax seal I created for it. THE BASIC CARD AND ENVELOPE I created the basic Z-fold card base using Thick Very Vanilla Card and my Stampin' Trimmer.  To start I cut the card to 5-1/2" x 8-1/2".  Then with the long side at the top I scored the card at 4-1/4".  Next I flipped the card over so that the other long side ...
