I have no idea how it can be Sunday again. The days are flying by far too fast for my liking, if only my list of chores would disappear as fast. I'm determined to make a dent in them today so my blog will be short and sweet. I've gone back to an older but still available stamp set Lovely You for this quick folded gift tag. It's the perfect project for a little simple Sunday crafting. BLOCK STAMPED BACKGROUND My project began with a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Very Vanilla Card and an ... VIEW POST
Improvising With Forever Flourishing Dies
Well that was an interesting 24 hours. This time yesterday it had started snowing and I could barely see the end of the driveway through the storm. By 2.30pm the deck and steps we impassable and it was at least 6" deep outside the garage. So out came the snowblower and we spent an hour restoring access. Then in the evening and overnight rain was forecast, in fact a lot of rain. So now almost all the snow has gone and we're enjoying sunshine and blue sky. That makes me much happier and I ... Silhouette Scenes For Simple Stamping
I'm a sucker for a silhouette. I adore the simplicity of these images while somehow still showing so much detail. I also love it when I can 'cheat' with a background scene. SILHOUETTE COUPLE I began my project with this image of a couple in the rain from the Silhouette Scenes Stamp Set. The key to a good silhouette is making the image really dark, it doesn't have to be black, ... VIEW POST
Easy Sunset With Sponge Brayers
I love colouring but I find I'm often reaching for the same colouring tools, most recently Stampin' Blends. So with a very busy day ahead of me I decided to grab my Sponge Brayers for a quick bookmark project. Once I'd selected a sentiment and image from the Silhouette Scenes Stamp Set I was all set. INK AND BRAYERS I began my project with a 2" x 5-1/2" strip of Thick Very Vanilla Card. Once I'd shaped the top with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch I was ready to start work with my ... VIEW POST
Creating A Simple Sunset Scene
My regular readers will know that I see in Stampin' Up! colours. As I'm going about my daily life I notice colour combinations and these often turn up in my projects. Sometime over the past week or two I saw a colour combination and made a note of it. Sadly I forgot to record the exact circumstances. However when I put the colours together on some card a sunset emerged. Then with a few extra touches I created today's project. SUNSET BACKGROUND I created this sunset background using ... VIEW POST
Find Something You Enjoy Doing
As the reality of physical distancing hits home and more activities are no longer available, are you finding new things to enjoy? Are you taking advantage of the enforced downtime and doing things you've been putting off? Although I am still working at the pharmacy, I do have some extra time on my hands now that my classes are cancelled for the forseeable future. So I'm planning to reorganise my craft studio. It's something that I do every April in preparation for the new Stampin' Up! Annual ... VIEW POST
