I had a great time at the event in Truro, NS yesterday. It's always good to meet new people and talk about papercrafting. That said, I always seem to come home exhausted and in need of a comfy chair. So today I have a quick Simple Sunday project for you using the Welcome To The Team Stamp Set. THE DESK CHAIR I love this little desk chair image from the Welcome To The Team Stamp Set. It reminds me of a video I saw years ago about what office workers get up to when the boss is away. ... VIEW POST
A Day To Relax
Happy Father's Day everyone. I may not be a father but I'm definitely going to try to relax today. Yesterday I was at an event selling my cards and other products, and talking to lots of people about Stampin' Up! I came home satisfied with how everything went, but very tired. It's a good job I already had today's Simple Sunday project ready for you. RELAX YOUR WAY I simply adore the A Good Man Stamp Set and this image of a man in a deckchair was perfect for my project. I began by ... VIEW POST
First take one cow…
It's going to be a very busy day for me today. I have a booth at the Show and Shine event at Wentworth, Nova Scotia tomorrow and there's still lots to do, so my project and blog post will have to be quick. As luck would have it, I had a couple of new stamp sets delivered yesterday so that would be a good start. Then the Just Add Ink challenge dropped into my Inbox this morning. I took the colours from the challenge and one cow from the new Over The Moon Stamp Set and got to work. CAN A ... VIEW POST
Gravitating Towards Green
It was only after I'd made today's project that I realised this was the second day I'd used mainly green. I never thought of myself as a 'green' person but obviously the excitement of spring finally arriving has got to me. Today it was the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack that caught my eye. I began with a card base of Thick Whisper White Card and used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to attach a layer of DSP. Then I chose another pattern and used liquid glue to mount that ... VIEW POST
Waiting for the wild roses
Last week Stampin' Up! set Demonstrators another #simplestamping challenge. We could make a project for any occasion, but it had to feature a new stamp set and use only stamps, ink and paper. That sounded like the perfect Simple Sunday project to me. So I pulled out the Floral Essence Stamp Set and the wild rose images. WILD ROSES I began with the large solid rose image inking it up with Lovely Lipstick ink. The colour was a little too dark so I first stamped-off onto scrap paper ... VIEW POST
Seaside Memories One Year On
One year ago today we were in Lanzarote (part of the Canary Islands off the west coast of Africa) for our daughter's wedding. It was such a lovely day albeit a little breezy with the wind coming off the ocean. So many amazing memories to cherish from our stay there, with walks along the beach and the volcanic landscape in the background. It hardly seems possible that a year has gone by since those celebrations. When I sat down to create today's simple Sunday project I was immediately drawn ... VIEW POST
