It’s a glorious Sunday morning here in Nova Scotia. Hubby plans to mow some more of the lawn but skirt around the lupins that are spreading nicely in our flower meadow. Here, lupins are considered by many to be weeds, unlike in the UK where people buy them at the garden centres. One of the reasons for developing a flower meadow is to encourage bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects. This was the inspiration for today’s simple Sunday card created using the retiring Heart & Home ... VIEW POST
Celebrating With Gold
Hooray I’ve made it to the end of another busy week. Well almost. But at least it’s Friday, and we’ve even got a little sunny weather in the forecast. I’m hoping to spend some time relaxing, but only if I get some important jobs done first. So my plan is to attack those today and leave the weekend clear. But before I get to that, here’s a simple birthday card made special by the gorgeous Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) and sentiment from the Celebrating You Stamp ... VIEW POST
Last Of The Mischievous Mice
We're now one week into the Last Chance promotion for the January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue. As I suspected, the New Horizons 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper (DSP) sold out very quickly. So now that and a number of other sold out products are gone for good. Over the next week or two my plan is to bring you projects using some of the other retiring products while they remain available. Today’s I've created a sweet mini pocket photo album featuring the last of the Mischievous Mice ... VIEW POST
IDEAS Blog Hop: Go To Greetings
Greetings! It’s the first Monday of the month and time for another IDEAS blog hop where this month our theme is “color me happy”. When crafting, all colours make me happy, especially when Stampin’ Up! produces coordinating card, ink etc in all of their 50 colours. So for my Tutorial Bundle projects I decided to use pairs of colours from the Regals and Subtles families and the Go To Greetings Stamp Set. Meanwhile for my blog followers I used the same stamp set to create a “Thinking of you” ... VIEW POST
Man, It’s A No Stamp Sunday!
As an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and passionate paper crafter I craft every day. To be honest even if I wasn’t blogging every day too I’d probably still be creating something. My projects always involve card, and most days stamps and ink. But for today’s simple Sunday project all I needed was the He’s the Man Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). With the recent retirement of the Playful Alphabet Dies I thought my bookmark genre series was done, that was until I realised I had the ... VIEW POST
Inspired By A Punch
One of the things that constantly surprises me is when I discover a new way to use a familiar product. In the past I’ve used stamp images in unusual ways, and turned die-cut shapes into something completely different. For today’s simple Sunday project I was inspired by a punch I’ve used a lot recently; Label Me Fancy. That little circle hole has found it’s way onto tags and bookmarks, but here it’s the actual label part that got a makeover. So with a sympathy card in mind I got ... VIEW POST
