Anyone else excited by retirement? Today's the day that we find out which Stampin' Up! products are being discontinued. However we must wait just a little longer as the Retiring List won't be revealed until 4pm Atlantic (1pm MT). At the same time, Stampin' Up! Demonstrators will get their first look at the new 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue. Something that definitely won’t be in the new catalogue are the 2020/22 In Colors. So before they’re completely sold out here’s one final card project using all ... VIEW POST
Paper Scraps And Simple Sentiments
There’s just three more days to go until we find out which products are being retired by Stampin’ Up! Every year they retire most, if not all, their patterned paper to make way for new designs. So my plan today is to review all the Designer Series Paper (DSP) I still have left. My regular readers will know that I hate to throw away even the smallest pieces and I’m definitely not alone. With that in mind this week’s simple Sunday project was designed around a 1” x 4-1/4” scrap. SIMPLY ... VIEW POST
Whale Done Turtle Friends
A few weeks ago I designed a gift tag using two different stamp sets that were made for each other, Seas the Day and Whale Done. At the end of the post I mentioned there was another stamp set that went perfectly with Whale Done. I promised to bring you a project showing what I meant, and today’s the day. I can’t believe I never noticed the link between Turtle Friends and Whale Done before, but here it is. Maybe I should look more closely at my other stamp sets... LOOK WHAT I FOUND! When ... VIEW POST
Thanks For A Simple Sunday
Today’s card was inspired by a challenge from Freshly Made Sketches. I haven’t taken part in a challenge in quite a while but they are a great resource if you’re looking for something to kick-start a project design. The colour scheme is definitely my current favourite, combining the soft Petal Pink and neutral Crumb Cake. For my sentiment I really wanted to give Ornate Thanks one more outing as I fear it will be on the Retiring List next week. From there today’s simple ... VIEW POST
Timeless Tulips For A Get Well Project
I’ve been dealing with a nasty cold for the past few days. I may have got it from hubby who wasn’t brilliant last week. Not COVID – we both tested then and were negative. Unfortunately my sore throat got worse and so yesterday we tested again. This time we’re both positive. Thankfully our symptoms aren’t severe, but we’re self-isolating as per the provincial regulations. On the upside I get more time in my craft studio. Earlier I chose the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set to make this sweet ‘get ... VIEW POST
Sentimental Swirls For A Simple Card
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I love the new Sentimental Swirls Stamp Set. There’s something really satisfying about stamping those bold outlines. They look good just as they are, or coloured in using a variety of techniques. What’s more, the flowers and one of the leaves coordinate with two punches although they’re certainly not essential. However for today’s simple Sunday project I wanted to concentrate on the largest of the swirls. With some patterned paper and a little ... VIEW POST
