I can't believe it's already the last Thursday of the month. That means that it's time for another A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. This month it's all about the Safari Celebration kit so let's get started. I only received my kit late on Tuesday so my two alternate projects needed to be quick and easy. SAFARI CELEBRATION First up I created a gift tag using the rollerskating elephant from the kit. While I already thought the elephant was cute, I decided I wanted more definition on ... VIEW POST
Peony Bloom Held A Surprise
Yesterday Stampin’ Up! confirmed the timeline for the transition from the current Annual Catalogue to the new one. We already knew that the current catalogue ends on May 2nd, but now we also know the Retiring List will be revealed on March 23rd. That’s four weeks from today! The 2020-2022 In Colors are definitely going, along with most (if not all the patterned paper). Various stamp sets, dies, punches and embellishments will go too but they’re harder to predict. ... More Snow On The Horizon
Yesterday was lovely. It was below freezing but somehow the sunshine and blue sky made it seem warmer. The day before we’d seen torrential rain followed by a flash freeze but all that was behind us. Even the roads were clear and dry. Spring was on the horizon. And then overnight… more snow. Probably a few inches, but with the wind blowing it around it’s hard to tell. Mind you right now there’s large chunks of ice floating by so it definitely needs to warm up. Still, it’s the perfect inspiration, and when I saw the Oceanfront Stamp Set I knew it was meant to be. But while I don’t have a strictly oceanfront view this sunset scene is quite a familiar ... VIEW POST
Bragworthy Meets Beautiful Moments
While it’s the images that often draw me to a new stamp set, I love fun sentiments. In the Stampin’ Up! 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue it was Lighthearted Lines that caught my eye. So when their new Mini Catalogue was revealed I wondered if there would be something similar. Bragworthy was exactly what I was hoping for and I’ve already made a few projects using this set. Today though I finally got around to the sentiment that gave the stamp set its name, and all it took was a ... VIEW POST
Simply Elegant Sympathy Card
After yesterday’s Valentine’s Day project I decided to tone it down today. As I was going through my stock of cards I realised I have very few sympathy and get well cards. After birthday cards these seem to be the ones that I sell the most. So with that in mind I decided to create a simple sympathy card. For that I wanted a suitable patterned paper with muted colours in a design that wasn’t too busy. I found it in the Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper ... VIEW POST
