If you follow my Papercraft With Me Facebook page you may have seen a video I posted on Monday, filmed during the snowstorm we had that day. The highlight however was catching a pair of foxes playing in the garden. Normally they’re quite well camouflaged, but that morning with the snow on the ground they were much easier to see. Most of the snow has melted away now, but it inspired me to make one last Christmas card using the retiring Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and So Many Snowflakes ... VIEW POST
Snowflake Wishes For Winter Thanks
Oh my goodness it's feeling cold enough for snow! There doesn't seem to be any in the forecast but it's definitely time to start planning warm winter meals! Yesterday was a big day for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as we got our first proper look at the January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue. However what's more important is that the Retiring and Carry-Over lists that were also revealed! Pink Snowflakes For A Very Different Look
Where do you get your inspiration? I find it in all sorts of places. I may see something online or in a store that sparks an idea. Often it's not the whole thing but just an element of it. Colour schemes are often found as I'm out and about. I've been in a restaurant and seen someone wearing a colourful outfit that drew my eye. Then out comes the notebook and I jot down the 'Stampin' Up! colours' that the outfit suggests to me. Today's treat/gift bag project was inspired by the Whimsy ... VIEW POST
Christmas Season Is Coming Soon
It's raining hard right now and set to get progressively worse as the day goes on. Hurricane Larry is going to miss us but will still affect our weather for the next couple of days. I find myself being thankful that it's only water, I'm not ready to shovel the white stuff just yet. Instead I'm happy to stay inside and craft, especially since I realised it's only 15 weeks to Christmas! Given that cards need to be mailed weeks beforehand, it's time to ramp up production. So today I have a ... VIEW POST
Thank You Snow Much Alyssa
Whatever else I have to do, I still manage to have a daily chat with my daughter and granddaughter in the UK. Although she's only 10 Alyssa loves papercrafting and takes a keen interest in my creations. Yesterday we were taking about the recent freezing rain, and the snow that's forecast for today. Then Alyssa suggested that I make a card with "It's snow cold" as a sentiment. Sadly I don't have that in my stash, but I did find "Thank you snow much". So with that in mind I created this ... Wrapping Up For Another Year
I was in Walmart yesterday and I overheard someone saying that they couldn't find any wrapping paper. Then later in the day I was reading something about commercial wrapping paper not being recyclable due to the amount of dye used. So as I sat down to create today's project I decided to create my own wrapping paper. WRAPPING PAPER Some time ago I bought a box of 100 sheets of 24" x 30" white newsprint wrapping paper from U-Haul. It's meant to be used when packing up belongings for ... VIEW POST
