Two weeks today will be Christmas Eve and a week later the last day of 2020. So I suppose I shouldn't be too upset that winter appears to have arrived. As I sat down to make today's project the snow was gently falling outside. Not a lot, but enough to leave a dusting on the ground. I think it's due to warm up a little so it's unlikely to stay for long. Later in the week? well that might be a whole different ballgame. With the snow outside I decided today's project should be a Christmas ... VIEW POST
Snowflake Wishes For A Winter Frame
Today's project was another one that kind of just 'happened'. I sat down knowing I didn't want to make a card, but wasn't sure what to make instead. In the end it was a sentiment in the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set that inspired me. SNOWFLAKE BACKGROUND With the sentiment in my head I began by looking for a background for my project. Snowflake Scrap Inspiration
Today's project was one of those happy accidents that happen in my studio from time to time. I'd been designing a card and for one of the layers cut a 2" strip from the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. After trimming the piece down for my card I realised that the leftover piece was the perfect width for a bookmark. I already had my heat embossing tools out for the other project so I didn't need ink. All I had to do was choose an appropriate sentiment and put it all ... VIEW POST
Snowflakes – stamped, embossed and die-cut
It may still be August but there was a definite autumn feel in the air this morning. Before we know it summer will be a distant memory, and I have a feeling winter may come early this year. It is 2020 after all! So today I decided to create a winter card using new products from the Snowflake Splendor Suite. By the time I'd finished I'd stamped, embossed and die-cut snowflakes to create this pretty project. WINTER SNOW I began with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder and a Whisper White ... VIEW POST
