Today is an exciting day for me as I join the IDEAS Design Team in time for their November blog hop and Tutorial PDF release. This month the theme is "Punch It Up" and our brief was to create projects using our favourite punch. I could have chosen something that coordinates with a stamp set, but opted for something completely different instead. I decided to focus on the punch I use more than any other, the Detailed Trio Punch. SNOWMAN SEASON OK I know I've used the Snowman Season Stamp ... VIEW POST
Peaceful Winter Scenes Won’t Be Long
So as the weather cools down and then warms up we're obviously heading into autumn. We're not quite into sweater weather yet, but it's coming. I think I'm ready, or am I? I suppose my problem is that the actual weather never quite lives up to the exciting or romanticised scenes I have in my head. The only one that comes close is winter after a fresh snowfall. This is of course until I have to start shovelling. It was for this reason that I couldn't resist the Peaceful Place 12" x 12" ... VIEW POST
Campology For Christmas Cards
Campology is one of those stamp sets that I knew I wanted as soon as I saw it. Apart from having some great images for masculine projects I immediately loved the large group of trees. I could see this image on lots of projects but my immediate thought was 'Christmas'. So when I sat down to make 24 cards in 24 hours recently, this was one I had to try. SNOWMAN SEASON Despite this project beginning with my idea for the Campology trees, it wasn't actually the focal point of the card. ... VIEW POST
Snowman On A Light Background
One of the challenges with including a snowman on a project is how to make him stand out against a light background. One of my goto methods is to use a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. Although it's 'clear' there is a slight greyish tinge that adds just enough colour. To show you what I mean here's today's simple Sunday project. SNOWY CARD BASE I began my Christmas card with a Misty Moonlight Card Base. After cutting and scoring the card with my Paper Trimmer, I folded it along ... VIEW POST
I Have A Happy Snowman
I have a happy snowmanHis name is Frosty FredHe decorates my gardenWhile I stay warm in bed Is anyone else starting to get silly, or is it just me? It's still only early December and I must admit I'm not looking forward to a long winter despite writing my happy snowman poem. Or maybe I am, as it means I'll have an excuse to stay in and craft. Once again today's winter project uses a combination of retiring and carryover products. SNOW PANEL I started by making the large snow ... VIEW POST
A Surprise Twist On The Retiring List
So much to do so little time... Today sees the release of the 2019 Holiday Catalogue Retiring List and it comes with a twist. There's products that are retiring and are now discounted. There are also other items that are retiring that are at full price. This is usually because stocks are low and it's expected they will sell out anyway. We've become used to this. The twist comes with the items that are on the 'carryover list'. Some of the items will be carried over and we'll simply ... VIEW POST
