Once again I've been surprised by the Retiring List, but this time in a good way. This morning I received notification that Stampin' Up! have updated the Clearance Rack. This is where you'll find products that retired a while ago and are now discounted for final clearance. With this refresh there's a whole bunch of autumn and Christmas themed products, including Designer Series Paper that I know people have been looking for. What's more some of these coordinate with dies and stamp sets that ... VIEW POST
By Special Request For A Special Someone
While staying in the UK my granddaughter Alyssa is taking much more interest in my blog posts. She's watching me work at the computer and enjoying seeing the projects I have made. She and I have very similar tastes in stamp sets and like me was sad to see the Special Someone Stamp Set is retiring. So at Alyssa's request here's a quick reminder of some of the projects made using images and/or sentiments from this set. First up there's this quick and easy thank you card in basic black and ... Special Someone For Some Heal-ium
Today's project is another from my 2020 World Cardmaking Day personal challenge that I haven't yet shown you. This get well card has a very simple layout with a punny sentiment from the Special Someone Stamp Set. To add interest I used the coordinating Special Day Dies and also the Balloon Bouquet Punch. SUBTLE LAYERS This project was really all about the two-part sentiment, so I decided to keep the rest of card quite subtle. I began by using my Paper Trimmer to cut and score a ... VIEW POST
Don’t Overlook The Itty Bitty Speech Bubble
While I love having stamp sets that include sentiments, I also like to mix and match. Sometimes what I want to say simply isn't there, and sometimes it is but it's just the wrong size for my design. That's why I like the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set with 32 sentiments for different occasions. There's no dies for this set but I realised all the sentiments fit inside the speech bubble from the Special Day Dies. It was the perfect finish to today's project. CUTE CHARACTERS I began this ... Corrugated Texture And Copper Trim
Once again today's project has a couple of retiring products; the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder and 1/4" Copper Trim. But I've also thrown in a little reminder about a returning product too. This wasn't my original plan for today, but I'm very happy with my morning's work. CORRUGATED PANEL Today I decided to showcase the retiring Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. As you might expect it creates a corrugated feel, but being a 3D folder the ridges are very pronounced. I started by ... VIEW POST
Spring Flowers Bring A Smile To My Face
I've a lot to get done today so my blog project is a quick one. But doesn't that happen to us as papercrafters? We suddenly realise we need a card, or gift tag and only have 30 minutes to make one. Well here's an idea with spring flowers and a cute mouse that made me smile despite the stress of the morning. SPRING FLOWERS This all started when I decided to create a gift tag with spring flowers. I wanted pastel colours and so pulled out So Saffron, Balmy Blue, Blushing Bride, Mint ... VIEW POST
